i wonder what will happen if kids gets sick and start throwing up around and mommies gets rampage on ninty...
6D! Actually, if such a thing existed it would be quite exciting for topologists and complex analysts...
Are you sure it wouldn't be 9D? How many Ds do you think they can fit inside a portable system? I have hope that the 3D trend will eventually go away again only maybe this time for good. I really want it to go away. All I wanted to see from Nintendo was a better DS. It didn't need new gimmicks.
I figured twice as 3D would be 2*3D. But who knows, maybe it would be (3D)^2. And maybe they can fit infinite Ds into a portable. Then we could see a function space. :-0 Well, very general functions spaces... like C[a,b] or something. Anyways, despite my excitement for the 3DS, I agree with you completely on the 3D fad. I could never figure out how a fad from the 80s popped up again in the 90s. Maybe this means Lordi and King Diamond will become wildly successful again? Of course, I still haven't seen a movie in modern 3D... maybe I should do that before spending $250...
IMHO, if this 3D goes on, you will just get used to it, as you got used to the normal 3d and HD graphics and what not else.... although I'm more a modern gamer (first console in my posession was Xbox!), I do also want that 3D stuff to fail....HD is already enough for me (actually I am playing on 1024*768), so I don't even use FullHD, yet. If that 3D gets bigger, I guess I will start counting me as a conservative old-school gamer (despite my age., < 20 ). I am already sceptical of stuff like Kinect.....
What bugs me is the time limit for eye strain. With my handhelds I really do use them for an hour or more sometimes. I just can't see being really into the game and having to stop after 15 min, wait, and then play again.
DeckardBR you're supposed to stop for 15 mins every hour anyway... not that anyone bothers (unless its to change batteries)
That's what's recommended in every single game manual "Take a 15 minute break every hour of game play.."
If I play any game for more than and hour or 2 without a break, my head starts to hurt. I don't know if that's a physical or a psychological phenomenon. Probably both.
Does it actually switch the 3D off after 15 minutes or something? That'd be maddening for me. My *only* play time is ~35 minutes each way every day on my train commute. I get eyestrain already just because I need a new glasses prescription. I can't imagine the 3D will make it worse. Glasses 3D for movies doesn't bother me at all.
Oh yes, I read that somewhere too: Step 1: Open your 3DS Step 2: Smother screen with Gerber Vegetable Curry Baby Food (no other flavour works as far as we know) Step 3: Wait 30 minutes, then scrape off. Step 4: Ocarina of Time will now be 10 times as awesome.
Even though I'm actually looking forward to the US release, I laugh (chuckle is probably more accurate, but I dislike that word) a little every time I see the title of this thread. I imagine ASSEMbler opening the 3DS and being bathed in blinding light, and then his face melts off Raiders of the Lost Ark-style.
Hahaha more like old man squinting and a lot of "what??? eeeh?" I'll have to wait for the 3DS LL (or xl)
That might've been funny had you posted a picture of Johnson baby wash. I want to give you an A for trying but... F
