7 year old brother is still epic Anyways, I know this is grave digging in regards of me posted in the topic again, lol. I just have an update in regards of my brother, and felt it'd be more appropriate to post in the thread I made awhile back, instead of making a new one. My brother is 7 years old now, and he's still playing the Sega Genesis. He has my old black DS Lite still, and he has a CycloDS Evolution flashcart, which is pretty nice so I can keep all his games on one cart so he doesn't have to deal with switching stuff out, or losing things. He's home from school today due to being sick, so I wanted to cheer him up by playing a multiplayer game of Mario Kart DS with him.. Long story short, I got schooled by my 7 year old brother, lol.. I didn't think he had gotten that good at that specific game, but turns out, I was wrong >.< Then again, it may just be that it was too awkward to play with the joystick on the 3DS, and the d-pad is in an odd place for me so I don't bother using it much (I have fairly large hands) I've been helping my mother out in limiting how much he plays games lately (He only sees his dad on Saturday, and on special occasions.. Since I'm his older brother, I try to be a good influence and someone he'll look up to), since he plays them way too often. Don't get me wrong though, I think playing some games is very stimulating for his brain, but I think he shouldn't be so engulfed with them all the time. He's going through the sore loser phase at the moment, so I've been trying to get him to be a good sport. He's getting better in that regard, but it's kind of funny to see his expression when I beat him in a game xD He still plays his Genesis sometimes, but he's gotten into the DS a lot lately. He also seems to love the Nintendo 64, and he's played it a lot with me when I'm using the 64drive by marshallh (Great product, probably my favorite purchase of 2011, besides Skyward Sword for the Wii) I've also let him play my Wii some lately, and he hasn't broke anything with the controller yet, thankfully. He seems to like the boxing game, and the sword kempo type game on wii sports resort. He likes to attempt to play my 360, but the controller is a bit too big for his hands still, so he has a hard time using both joysticks, lol.. He's fairly good at racing games, but he's awful at FPS games due to his hand size. I'd look for and buy a smaller controller if I had the money right now, but sadly, I'm broke. If anyone knows of a smaller 360 controller that's good quality, PM me the name and info about it, I'd appreciate it. I did want to buy him a NES or SNES at some point, but then I realized I could just use an emulator on my Wii and let him use the classic controller, lol.. It's awesome when you have a younger sibling that likes the same stuff you did when you were that age. He got into watching Dragonball Z Kai at one point on Nickelodeon, but I broke him of that by introducing him to proper DBZ. Also, does anyone know of any language learning games for the DS? I figured I might get him a game that'll help him learn Spanish, or another language. It may help him later in life, and since he's young, it's the perfect time to introduce him to another language. His speech has gotten a LOT better (Pretty much what you would expect from a 7 year old; except, his reading ability, and grammar is above average for a kid his age.. I guess it's a genetic thing since I'm the same way, and I've taught myself to speak several languages as well), his main issue now is he won't pay attention to anyone when he's focused on something (Usually his DS, lol)
GOH: aspies as, anti social assholes.... I was diagnosed before it became a "pop diagnose" or as you call it, "over diagnosis". Which also makes sense. But calling me an anti social ass, is not really what I am. But enough bollocks, I agree with you. The over diagnosis of AS, and ADD/ADHD has become a scourge upon society. But AS is NOT a fake diagnose, cause I have met my fair share of real aspies over the years, who were NOT pop diagnosed, or over diagnosed. But I have too, met a few fucked up mental brats, who had gotten the add/adhd diagnose. When it fact they were just stupid little tossers. So it is a double edged sword, but then again I have met my fair share of fucking idiots. Who I wanted to smack the living shit out off, and they were perfectly "normal". Thankfully, I walk away instead. Again it affirms my assumption about you, that you just are an ass.
