8 x microsoft xbox confidential discs (1st time poster)

Hi

First time poster here. Discovered these 8 x microsoft confidential discs in an auction lot i won. Was included within 350 original games. However I couldnt find out much about these

Includes:
Auto modellista
Powerdrone
Battlefront (spanish)
Shadow ops

These all worked on a pal unmodded console

The other 3 contain various demos, videos, music etc

1 disc doesnt read, they do all have scratches but as stated did play

Any idea on what these are and value?

Ok seems a couple of the images didn't load, they were just close ups of the other discs.

Also am i right in thinking that Auto Modellista did not get a pal release? so means i could have one of the only pal copies?

Auto Modellista wasn't released as PAL. However, it doesn't necessarily mean this copy is PAL - it may just be region free. I'm not sure how they worked their preview discs. If they're pressed, it's unlikely to have been an extremely small batch.

Thanks for the reply. It could be region free i presume. I normally but and sell bits here and there but I have never seen anything like these and would have no idea what to place a value on them as there is none on ebay (unless i am searching wrong)

Some of the discs do contain demos, music videos etc, the others seem to be full game. Any info would be greatly appreciated on these though.

 

Quite possibly preview/review code discs.

 

Is there any value in these though? or they worthless?

so ultimately it boils down to the game etc!

 

Nearly every silver is final code, with some exceptions, usually marked. The fact that they run on retail hardware tells me that they will be final code, unless it was something specific like Halo 2 beta, Dinosaur Hunting, Red Star, or Lamborghini, all of which are rare

If they are silvers, those are usually just retail games before they are silk screened. Borman, would his Auto Modellista be NTSC but playable on a PAL console?

Value is just as with anything - it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you have a game that constantly sells on eBay for £5 but someone really wants it then and there, you might get £20 out of them... then it's worth that to that person. You are right, though - it'll depend on the title. Considering silvers are essentially retail games out of the box without instructions, they can be worth less than the retail game... or a sought after title may be worth a fair bit more.

 

I see well i got these in a joblot and already cleared a few hundred so its a bonus. Just hope Borman can help with regards if ntsc would work on pal xbox. If it is pal then i imagine it would be sought after

Yeah I found them purely by accident either way glad i found out what they are and not totally worthless. Do appreciate you guys help

 

I dont have a copy of auto modellista handy to try it. Someone would have to try the retail copy. I might be interested in the lot of them for the right price, always a good conversation piece.

 

I believe that it was never realeased as a pal game so no one would have a retail copy. If you are interested pm me otherwise they may end up with the others on thd site that no one likes

I Found these at a local Auction and realised that Auto Modellista never had a Pal Release. my disc is NTSC however does not have an region coding being a preview disc.

Pretty cool find i would say!
