One quick note, I personally have no idea where this whole "Dead or Alive 2 Limited Edition" thing came from since the only difference between the 2 japanese dreamcast versions of Dead or Alive 2 is the Instruction manual cover. Unless the kasumi/ayane cover was originally going to be produced in smaller numbers but it ended up being the more comon of the two.

Not his fault the seller listed the item one way and sent it another missing something well known to be coveted. Like selling someone a car with every emblem ripped off the body.

Though someone left me some whiny feedback when I left him negative feedback for not mentioning the disc was heavily scratched in the auction. "Plays great!" Sure does, but its also not of the condition you led me to believe it was dude.

Lifted word for word from SEGAGAGADOMAIN, take it away Yakumo:

The "normal" print of Dead or Alive 2 for the Dreamcast which is in fact far more difficult to find than the limited edition believe it or not. Unlike the limited edition, this version doesn't come with a colour printed GDROM but it does have a much better cover design or at least I think so. The game is identical to the limited edition apart from the CG gallery mode is missing in this version.

    I got a few more pick-ups recently:

Ignore the DOA2 Hardcore, I didn't realize it was in the original photo in the OP when I took this.

That's just how I remember it being advertised back in the day. I guess it stuck but...

this appears to be the case. How ironic. I do need to track down that version eventually as well.

Yup, I went through every page. I've already contact him but he let me know he's on vacation at the moment and that he'd get back to me in a few days. I'm not being whiny, the game is in otherwise great condition but I am disappointed.

    I got a copy of DOA3.2 (PAL).

I bought up all the Japanese guides for the original Dead or Alive I could find. Three for the Saturn version and one for the Playstation. Frame data, fuck yeah! They also include some artwork I haven't seen before which is also very interesting, including original character brainstorming ideas and cut characters.

And just yesterday I got... a not-for-resale copy of the PAL PSX version of DOA1, courtesy of a member here. No pic of that yet.

I got a brand new copy of the DOAU guide for cheaper than other used ones on eBay. Fuck yeah! Also, more frame data. Hoorah! The protective cover got a bit banged up en route though but it did what it was designed to do; protect the book.

Yes, I'm just trying to get into it myself and finding it very difficult despite having played the other DOA games for years.

You're an evil man to even suggest such a thing.

    I hate it.
