    Hello guys,

I'm not sure that it's the right place for the thread, so if it's not please just let me know.

So after asked the "Big Boss", I'm opening a Special thread to talk about it (D.F.). Some people surely guess that i'm not coming with empty hands !!!!

    First :

    - I open this thread to talk about the game.
    - A "free Q/A" topic will be open until friday.
    - Then "we" will decide what to do with.

    > Don't waist more time, "I" have in hand a Full complete version of the Hu-Card game Dino Crisis. Game canceled after the "circus lido" company closed. The game was done but unreleased. It's an ALPHA BAN (taikenban) on a develop Hu card.

    > Through this thread, you will be able to ask me questions about it until friday, then I will answer you and update this message.

I will start with some basics questions :

    - Which game :
Dino force, canceled in 1993. You can find some/few informations about it in the PC ENGINE Fan June 1993 and the Gekkan PC-Engine 9/1991 (thank you to CCOVELL). The company released the "famous" Circus Lido.

    - Where :
It come from the "boss" of the project, he worked on Space invaders, Darius series and many more... (all informations available as proof as well with name, address...). Even some pictures with him and a special dedication at my "name" with a hand draw of the first stage boss (20 years after made it).

    - Why :
Why after 20 years ? It's simple, after a good talk and good drink, Japanese people "talk and tell some little secret", it's one of them !!! It's a good chance for you to get this "legend/rumor" and an opportunity (financial) for "him" to invest in a "new project". I'm not the main "man" on it, so I can't decide alone on what to do next.

    - How many :
Officially there are only 2 remains. A Beta Ban (80% complete of the game) available in the Famitsu company "storage room", and a 100% Alpha Ban complete "here". I'm not 100% sure of this but, during the past 20 years it's THE ONLY ONE (maybe the last) TIME that the game "show up". If something "happened" the game should be lost "forever".

    - Next Step :
We are thinking about a "live presentation" through the U-channel to a friend soon, but some "people interest in it" won't this to happened. Someones "made offers", but nothing decided yet. I ask you all what do you want, or what do you think ?
To be honest, "We" are not able to "make" a public release with 200/300 copies (money and time missing). Maybe "the buyer" will do it BUT nothing sure. I know that many of you guys should be pissed about it cause 99% of nec lovers won't (maybe) be able to play it, and I'm sorry about that. But you have to understand that "game" is not supposed to be "here", 20 years after !!!

    - Offer :
You all guys available to do "offer", not only financially, but if you have any ideas or "plans" everything will be check as well.

    - Garantie :
We can certify the "new owner", that we didn't made any copy OR own any copy somewhere, and the "boss" is almost sure that NO OTHER ONE will pop up soon or late. the "new owner" will be free to do what he want to do with the game, and we won't tell anything.

Feel free to share your feeling (good or bad) about it and ask question.

Thank you all to following this thread

Correct me if I'm wrong... Given your user name, post count, and your immediate publicity grab for this proto you have, it looks like you have no intention of sticking around or contributing long term to this community. From the looks of things, it sounds like your just here to sell your proto for "mad cash" or at the very least try to get a fundraiser going. Because AssemblerGame users have a rep for paying "mad cash" for protos?

EDIT: It doesn't help that you spammed the same topic twice. :-/

I'm going to be honest and blunt, this game is one of those 3rd party games that usually is release for free. This is unknown and by the look from the screenshots of it I found on the web it looks mediocre. When fundraisers go on here for prototypes to be released they have big ticket names on them like sonic, zelda or resident evil. The problem with this title is it has never been heard of, It doesn't have big name. I will tell you this Intrest about this game will either be mild or non existent (with the exception of pc engine fans).

If you're not a PC-Engine fan then this isn't a big deal. But unreleased PC-Engine games are a rare kind, and protos of unreleased PC-Engine shooters are even rarer - so for fans, this actually is quite exciting news.

Trenton_net : I asked "Assembler" before opened this thread. I never "hide" any intention about it, it's clearly stated so if that make so problem, I can removed to thread.

I follow the forum for several years, it's not because I'm a "newbie" that you have to hate about me, don't you ? I collect neo geo AES games for about 10 years and I never been registered on any "neo geo forum", that mean that I can't be a part of the neo geo fan ?
Not all the collector worldwide have much time to spend on forum, they follow some (as me) but want to stay "out of the community", for professional or personal reasons.

takeshi385 : As you said, maybe this is not a "BIG NAME" but it's one of the canceled PCE games that almost no one know about it (i mean informations). Someone who doesn't care about Shoot of PCE games probably never hear about it.

ave : thank you for that, if you have any questions, just tell me.

    Thank you all

kzd : As said before, we will check all "kind" of offer. I'm not the one who decide. We got some offer but not yet decided what to do. There is no "price tag" stated yet. Thank you

    Community fundraiser an option?

If not, ah well. Bet Thibaut is rock hard atm haha!

@ Ave - exactly. PCE protos are most sought after by those with taste (ie PCE lovers)!

Edit - Something wrong with the attachments 4831 etc..I just get error messages? And the video too?

    Fail haha, me or you?

Excellent!!! I look forward to seeing more about this game :) BTW the link for the images don't work but I've downloaded the video no problem, amazing to see this game in action. Massive sprite for the first boss level!!! Keep it coming.

@takeshi385 if you were into PCE back in the days, it was talked about even outside of Japan, in the French press for instance, PCE had a massive following in France. But you are right in saying that big ticket names protos, betas fetch high prices.

The pictures were working this morning, but seems have a problem now. By the way the video is work.

I had a long talk with the "boss" and it seems that he contacted a japanese shop to manage and handle the transaction, so unfortunately, I won't be able to discuss about it anymore, but for people interested in it I can give you more information by private message.

    Thank you

Sorry Saber470 to not be "in charge" of this. By the way you should have a "good quality video" soon through the japanese shop online.

The "game" should be available for "open offer" for a limited time next month, than the owner will decide if he sell/trade it or keep it.

    Thank you all.

I hope you guys at least do make a "presentation" video or whatever showing more of the game. Considering how much money is being asked of the gaming community, and this place being all about preservation and saving history, it deserves more than just those 5 seconds in that youtube video. I'm pretty sure if it did sell we'd never hear from it again anyway going by how much prototype sales seem to go, so...

Anyway, you got into contact with the original creator? That's pretty neat, you're Japanese must be pretty good =p I'm still trying to contact JP devs, only one so far helped out but he didn't have any protos unfortunately. Makes me jealous when all these people seem to luck out on finding the right person!

And Famitsu has a storage room of old prototypes? I never would have imagined...

That was a poor video, as said 3 seconds of the title screen and 3 seconds of the game start sequence and bugger all else, not even any music or sound from the game. Makes you wonder if the game was crap, hence the cancellation of the game. I would want to see some gameplay footage.

It is strange there is 82 seconds of video but only 11 seconds of actual ROM footage and half of that was blank due to loading.

I would happily gamble my money with no ROM footage of any kind, but there is no picture, video or any form of proof of ownership of the actual Hu-Card itself? I'd also drop a grand on something sight unseen but without it, Dino Force will be a hard sell at several thousand dollars IMO.

I'm not even remotely interested in the PC Engine or shoot em ups TBH and with our without the current global financial crisis, a 500k JPY price tag is quite high no matter what the platform is. My guess is the reserve won't be met or it would be bought by someone with too much money to care, but put me down for 10 bucks towards a fundraiser regardless.

Yeah, does the "boss" feels that releasing some actual gameplay from the game will reduce its perceived, ( hence final sale ) value?
Im not familiar with prototype selling technique but in any case I would likely contribute a little to a fundraiser, just to see the ROM released.
The offer period seems a bit short for this though...

They also have a thread about this on PCengineFX.
