Look, it's kind of him to have shared anything at all, so thanks!

But yeah, this reveal / thread is more FAIL than WIN...

    Hello guys,

All "peoples/buyers" for it, asked us to DO NOT SHOW MORE VIDEOS OR MUSIC OR IMAGES. For keep it as secret as possible. I know that many people should be upset cause after the sale, it surely will be locked and you won't never see it again but right now during the "negotiation" with all, we can't do it.

    Thank you

Why am I not surprised. All you people out there making offers feel smug that you're get to be special with your precious prototypes?

I swear only the absolute wrong people get these things.

I can understand how people who can't afford it, can be upset... Why does anyone ask for "donation" to buy it then share it with all people who made a donation ? like that a maximum of people can enjoy it... I guess !

The PCE community can pretty much kiss this game goodbye.:sorrow: I can't imagine someone getting this that actually wants to preserve it, but rather, just shove it in a shelf sealed in carbonite & then put in a time capsule set to open at the end of time. Either that, or it'll be wiped out in some catastrophe, earthquake, tornado, tsunami, hurricane, zombie apocalypse, etc. :( Tis a bummer to be sure.:concern:

Are you asking "Why don't people donate into a pot to get it?" Well things like that take longer than a week and a half. Plus a 6.5k USD min bid with only 5 seconds of video is basically just like throwing money into the air hoping that the person who bought it is getting something better than a demo.

    My input:

Person from Japan buys it: Never see it again
Person from an English speaking country: Possibly
Person from France: Possibly, but at some outrageous price

    .....

Nothing wrong with just showing a bit of ankle ;)

Maybe someone can afford it and wants to share it but wants the others to pay their fair share too.

Maybe people cannot afford it so clubbing together secures a public release.

Or maybe people can afford it but they don't trust you so they want to spread the risk to minimise their losses should things turn sour. The cloak and dagger stuff of no picture of the Hu-Card or proof of ownership, closed offers and disposable accounts are not great ways to inspire confidence.

Would this "owner" be willing to have a person in Japan go and test this Hu-Card out?

Going by his post, I think he meant to say "Why DOESN'T anyone ask for "donation" to buy it then share it with all people who made a donation ? ! " I think he gets the idea behind donation drives, just ended up wording it wrong due to English issues and it ended up looking like the wrong question :)

But yeah, if you know anything about donation drives, you know having a deadline of one week is nowhere near enough time :/ I really don't get the point of a deadline, if anything it seems like an excuse to get people who think they'll never see it again to pay more than they ever would under normal circumstances. This title's not exactly been a very publicly wanted or sought after title to warrant such a price IMO, but then again it seems these days anything prototype = way way ridiculous prices. Probably thanks to stuff like that Zelda auction :(

I think there is a misunderstood !!! I gave pictures and in game video from stage 1 and 2, and it wasn't 5 second but about 20/30 seconds (max size for attached file).

Also Dev Hu-card pictures were sent, and on the video at the beginning of it.

Why not upload to youtube instead of trying to make it a forum attachment? :)

You should build up publicity first. Get a spokesperson to hype it up with extra fancy quality pictures, videos, and descriptions.

This game isn't known well enough by the global internet for surprise fund raising.

If it's a person from France but not living in Europe, I agree.
French community tends to share too.

Now he wants the thread deleted. Shows how much these people care about history in any way. No reason this needs to be gotten rid of so no one even knows such a prototype exists.

*sigh* You know, just some people, and their the ones who get certain things... sometimes life ain't fair, ya know?

    Bleh.

I love PCE but...honestly, this was the biggest waste of fucking time from the off.

An arsehole of an OP, hyping up the poorest reveal I can recall.

There are dozens of legends here who know how to do it right...Borman, Kiff et al. Some fuckers should take a leaf or ten out of their books.

Sometimes I almost feel it's better these things stay hidden. Too many glory seekers with shit for brains.

And people wonder where 'teh drama' comes from...clagnuts.

I totally called it when I said he's here just to promote the prototype for $$$ and has no real contribution to anything long term with the community. He even deleted his "rebuttal" where he tried to sell the argument that his post count was low, but he'd been lurking for a long time. So what? Lurking contributes jack to the community. Big deal if you lurked around forums for years. I'm with Wheelaa on this one.
