Congratulations mate! How heavy was he? my little boy was a relatively quick birth (about 8 hours total, only about 4 was labour) but he was 3 1/2 weeks early, so was only 6lb 5oz. Word of advice, get lots of shelving units in, as things will need to progressively move higher and higher as he grows! also I have found a fireguard works brilliantly around the TV unit to prevent food/toys/bodily fluids being stuffed into consoles orifices.
Congratulation on your first born son! Lite up a cigar. That was one stubborn baby if it took it that long to get out. I was stubborn too - I took about 8hours to come out of the womb. How's your wife doing? Good luck and best wishes on embarking on a new chapter in your life, parenthood. That is one heck of a roleplaying game .
RPG's As strange as it sounds, you forget how you ever were offended by poo everywhere and just accept it...
Thanks for all the congratulations, guys. The wife is doing well as is the baby, Ren. Ren defiantly has his mothers fingers, lips and nose by the looks of it but his dads eyes since he has real eye lids Well, I say real but only as far as western people go  The picture taken above was 5 minutes after he came out. They cleaned him up pretty much straight away although they did stick him under the Mc Donald's heat lamp like GaijiPunch said  The baby and his mum will be staying in the hospital this week then moving to her parents place until the end of April (Japanese way) so I'm free from sleepless nights until May. Now, where to move all my low placed stuff to? I don't want biscuits shoved in to the Wii. Yakumo
Don´t take this the wrong way, but if I was next to you, I would give you the biggest hug. A pad on the shoulder, and a beer on me So is the baby going to be baptised, namegiven etc. or what ?
I think they used a high-voltage security fences in Jurassic Park for similar Wii-protecting purposes!
Beer and pat on the back most welcome but I'll accept the hug from a nice female, no offence  The baby probably won't be baptised to be honest but when it reaches the age of 16 her will be given the choice of being baptised or not. My wife knows nothing about religion (Like most Japanese) The only time they seem to go to a shrine or what not is when they want something or because of superstition unlike western religion that worship God once a week. Also I heard that you can't talk to the Buda anywhere except the shrine My wife just won't accept that you can speak to God wherever you want (If you believe in him that is) Yakumo
Best wishes to the Smith family! Indeed, if we should ever have some kind of Japanese meet I would gladly buy you a pint! Congratulations! I hope your wife recovers very quickly. Prefer yourself for a few years of little sleep
Congrats, man! As soon as he's able to hold a controller, you should let him help you with Retro Core.
My wife throws out a chuckle when you mention Jesus being resurrected. I don't think Jesus would be too happy w/ my choice of partner... at least not on the spiritual front.
Not to start a religious war or anything, but I hear a LOT of people say that many Japanese people see the "Christian" God as a corrupt evil dictator of sorts. And that view leads to a clash of cultures, especially in Video games and Anime where there are evil corrupt churches as enemies. Examples include, SMT, BOF's 1-3, Xenogears, Arc the Lad (anime and game), Lunar 2 EBC, etc. And then there are the Japanese people who think Christian symbols are cool and put them all over everything and create controversy.
