Exclusively on kickstarter. Made by Hailrazer and Downing. Go support them. (Not really since most of you dislike it...)

EDIT: Don't even THINK about calling it a Wii U controller in comments. Read the details on it to see why. Yes it looks like it and is like it in the controller and video functions but that's about it.

EDIT EDIT: While the idea is cool, I DO NOT support it because it's useless to me and the price is terrible.

EDIT EDIT EDIT (LOL...): Unless they suddenly get an influx of backers it looks to be a failure. At the current rate they're getting an average of $4,500 a day. With 41 days to go and this rates stays the same it'll end around $250,000. $100,000 short of the $350,000 goal. Haters can MAYBE jump for joy. (That seems to be the lot of you.)

So they're mimicking the Wii U's key feature, the GamePad, except it will work with PC and other consoles? That sounds like a silly idea to me... but best of luck to anyone that tries something new. I wonder if they'll reach their funding goal.

Oh look, it's a Wii U controller. They even copied the clunky unergonomic controller design.

It's NOT a Wii U controller at all. It has a 7" HDMI display with a wireless HDMI adapter, and a USB style controller with swappable carts for different console controls. There's no onboard processing, camera, or touchscreen. Only way it could POSSIBLY be like a Wii U controller is the shape and even then it's a far stretch to say that.

Read the info before spouting off nonsense dude. They even address the likeness to the Wii U controller in the FAQ at the bottom.

Yawn! This is nothing new. It's just a monitor that receives video and audio via wireless hdmi. Been done years ago. The only plus is that it has integrated controls. If I wanted to play hand held I'd buy a handheld.

far stretch for the shape to be a wii u controller?

uh, no. It's the same shape right down to every curve.

As for the actual product design...eh. Why the fuck would I want to turn on my consoles/PC at home and play it on a small screen with a third party controller?

You're right, it's a less useful version of the Wii U controller. It only does one of the things that the controller does (off TV play), and I doubt that it will really work with all the systems it lists (how many third party wireless Xbox 360 controllers are there?).

Also, it costs between a PS4 and Xbone to help kickstart.

Seems pretty pointless and ridiculously expensive for what it is. For $350 you get to play your choice of one system (360/PS3/PC) on a handheld 720p 7" screen.

If you want to add another system, it's an extra $60 (based on the $349 and $410 pledge points).

Honestly, the awesome thing about this is that they have a working prototype, much better than that Ouya farce.

While I can appreciate the technical ingenuity behind this project, I also have to admit that it is kind of a useless device.

When we have Mighty No 9 and now a sequel to General Chaos on Kickstarter..... I think our extra funds that we'd put towards somebody's dream would be better put to use helping with a game rather than useless instantly obsolete junk.

Agreed. I still can't figure out when I'd be at home and want to play my consoles on a portable. I hardly play my Gameboy or 3DS when I'm home.

Not defending it as much as trying to set straight misconceptions. While I think the idea is cool myself I also have no use for it. I'll wait on completely dissing it until I see a review of the production version if the Kickstarter succeeds.

No anger involved. Just being stern.
