A vote for "all discussion with rule enforcement option" for me. We need to BAN the idiotsthat make the trouble. Once they have gone things should be better.

Indeed. All you need is some solid moderators that are active on this website to keep that part under control, you shouldn't need to rid of the section, or other people shouldn't need to miss out on it because of some conflicts.

Ignoring the fact that I am probably older than you and absolutely smarter than you, there is no need to insult members that are superior to you. Perhaps you should just fucking kill yourself.

I do not know where nobodies like ServiceGames find the balls to give me shit. Fuck you.

Let's just say you're not a team player. We don't need lone wolf geniuses. We prefer community.

I have no issue being a team player. I do not like leakers and other people who are negative to the 360 scene in general, like hawk. I also do not like it when fucking nobodies like "Servicegames", who knows nothing about anything, give me shit.

People who are worth a damn get anything they need from me. Help, etc. If you aren't, you don't.

That makes you seem really mature.

Personally I feel keep the forum for now, but remove the people who obviously can't handle being adults. If it doesn't seem to get better over a brief period of time then restrict it development discussion only. If after all these lesson's people insist on still being idiots then get rid of the section. I understand this sort of path would take time and work when the staff has plenty of other sections to deal with, but some of the stuff in the forum is important to some mature members of the community and I'd hate for it to seem like they're getting pushed out because of a few bad eggs.

I say do a trial phase for a few weeks by weeding out the bad ones and see where it goes from there and then make a more firm decision.

I don't see the need to ban the sales of dev/test kits though because if it gets to the point where people can't discuss stuff relating to them at least people still have the option to sell or trade their kits here to people who are still interested.

I never visit that section nor was I aware that there was trouble over yonder lol. We have always had a great core member base that got along well so I dont think we should tear up a area of our great site over this, I say Ban or restrict trouble makers and those who arnt helping the greater good. More mods and less trouble makers FTW ;)

I say just ban the members causing trouble in that forum. Anything more seems like overkill.

All discussion with rule enforcement (and ban if needed)

This is the best way. I don't think a few people who never learn should ruin everybody else's fun, especially since I don't think anything besides people who can't learn to behave has been the main problem here.

I was at another forum some months ago and left specifically because of someone just like MTWong who in completely one sided and talks down to anyone that dare defies his opinion, thinking they're superior. Why people like this aren't banned when they've done this more than enough times is beyond me, but from personal experience I can say it really puts someone off to keep visiting somewhere for discussion only to have some self-proclaimed god attack you constantly.

I'm not a huge member here or anything, but just going by my recent experience on that other board and now witnessing this I thought Id just give my thoughts on this matter. I will suggest that possibly, regardless of their personalities, some of these people do know what they're doing and can help others out when they control their superiority complexes. So maybe it might be a good idea to do suspensions instead? That'd be a test of how willing they are to cooperate with this communities guidelines. And if they come back and prove they didn't learn anything then just ban them.

I say a ZERO TOLERANCE rule, as in no warnings, and very obvious posting of the rules, if it's possible to make them somehow more obvious.

Is it possible to ban a user from a specific forum? Like, "fuck around in the 360 forum, and you can't go back!" Then, they'll have a choice. Redeem themselves elsewhere and perhaps attain privilages again, or be a cock and get fully removed.

This is not tolerable. On a forum, or anywhere else in life. I would have trouble being affiliated with a community that would allow this sort of attitude.

This thread has been in the pipeline for a while now and although I don't like it I am very glad it has come to the surface.

I would like to see the 360 section stay as I do enjoy reading the threads and all the productive posts are very informative. That said however, if it's too much work for the moderators I have no quarms in seeing the section shut down.

Whatever the out come of this poll might be I do think certain people need to be banned for their comments. I hate to point people out but wishing another member dead is just way beyond any line!

I think the M$ section should remain too, just ban the idiots. The thread on hacking the 360 was an interesting read until people started bitching about random stuff and upsetting everyone.

I really can't beleive the attitude of certain people, especially in this very thread :katamari:

    I'm god.

Well, I advise quickly finding a way to tolerate it.

Even though I think that everyone should be able to speak their mind, I'd rather see more severe measures taken (i.e. bans) than the reputation/existence of the site threatened.

I like the community for being very open and tolerant towards certain topics as well as people, with members coming back at someone with a snappy remark rather than flaming them. People with attitude problems should go somewhere else.

Isn't this why you have moderators? you don't need to put hours in this just have the mods take care of it, or arn't they allowed to ban people?
Personally I am getting quite tired of unmature people ranting about how super l33t and smart they are and cursing everybody out that comment on their posts. Or is there any philosophy behind not banning members?
On the other side, seeing the behaviour of some people I would think that banning them will only add oil to the fire, clone accounts will pop up and the flames will get worse out of revenge for being banned and what not.. :crying:

 I don't want to instigate this any further, but just rather add on to what Hawanja was saying that brought this. No one EVER should act as though they're that invulnerable to any sort of punishment for being this elitist, whether they're just playing with their enemies or not. I can see the same thing that happened at that previous board I was at happening all over again.

I'll just say this: it really shouldn't have to come to others having to leave in order to get one problem gone. I had to leave one board just for the mod there to realize how much of a jerk this other guy was, only then did he get banned. Horrible moderation, I would still never go back regardless of him being gone. Really. This guy. Why he isn't gone yet...it astounds me.
