Today I just learned that psp had a remote control that plugged into the extra port in psp 2,000 and 3,000. The third party ones just have play and skip butttons. But the official one looks pretty nice and has more buttons. I also learned that psp has a gps thing and a camera but those aren't as unusual as the remote. I guess the other strange peripheral I can think of is PS2 having a VR unit. So how about it. What are some strange peripherals that you were suprised to hear about?
I remember that thing, don't think I saw it sold in stores. I also didn't find it a stretch since psp 1000 came with a headphone remote in the box. Guess maybe you don't remember it?
That can't be a psp 1000 one. It didn't have that port next to the headphones. That was added for 2000 and later. The plugin would be on the bottom left if it had one.
Nope, PSP 1000 had a port on the bottom left below the analog stick. I've had PSP units for ages. Port was modified for 2k for video out but it's been there since the start.
Ok. Well anyway, that remote would be worthless to me. I'd need a remote that can scroll through files. I don't watch my videos in a row usually. I pick which one I wanna watch one at a time.
^ There is another one also medical https://www.engadget.com/2007/12/06/glucoboy-turns-diabetes-blood-testing-into-a-game/ I found this last year, it's my ultimate favorite accessory ever, (really not known) The Nintendo 64 Racing chair! or a Chair Shaped Rumble pak .. it was from brazil.. while I was typing this I was looking for the picture on my photobucket..... which is removed ... but yeah.. know that it exist =p it was Power over controller. no AC adapter needed lol shit.. there goes my post-of-the-day
I just found out the psp remote and cradle was JP only. That's a bummer. I would have liked that remote. I couldn't use the cradle with my psp grip tho.
A game called Odama came with a microphone holder for the GC controller. It's a plastic part that clips in the screw holes in the back. I own one, it's a pretty neat thing to have; they tend to be rare as they are fragile.
128-256Mb max if it had only internal memory and up to 2Gb if it had SD card slot. I had flash mp3 player back then and mostly used it as voice/bird recorder - receiver was very sensitive, microphone too and recording quality was great, also microphone/line input, but... 256Mb and USB 1.0, it took 20-40 minutes to transfer music so CD mp3 player was waaay better for music.
