They still are registered as having stands at EGN tomorrow - i will grab as much as I can as it will probably be a nice collectors item getting their merchandise after they officially close doors. I guess it woud be a bit of a bummer for the staff there though promoting games they ain't publishing .... LOL

What my boggle is though, Acclaim are supposed to be releasing Juiced here in the UK for Xbox in a week or 2, on top of that acclaim.com mentions nothing of a closure but of a potential loan? Has it really closed? Any chance to a link for evidence?

Well hopefully some dev systems and other goodies will hit the market. Lord knows if I worked there I'd be looting the place bare right now.

Let the vultures have begun to circle. :death

    EVINDENCE.

Were SUPPOSED to be at EGN. Their name didn't appear anywhere there. There was no sign.

Spoke to one of the recruiting companies, they've had LOTS of people from Acclaim contact them.

    Enough evidence for ya?

Interesting thing though... a 95% beta of Juiced was running at Game Stars Live... check out the tv prog you might just see it.

They are gone 100% deffinate. I used to work for them. On friday when we were told that we had not been paid, the looting was reminisante of the LA riots.

Yep, it's not good, but i'll find another industry job.

The real thing that sucks about it is the underhanded way in which people in the company were treated. No pay, no redundancy pay, and no warning.

The company when i started working for them were really good to work for even if we did make more than our fair share of bad games. After two months of being there i was promoted to a position that in most other companies would have been passed over for. But then it all went down hill when the GMAC said they would not deal with us again.

    The rest is History.

There were 93 people in my office all good people, and to date Acclaim have only formally told the New York office that the company is bankrupt. Bastards.

I worked there for just under 2 years. I'm hoping to get a job as a producer next, i have applied to several companies just waiting to see what happens.

As for taking equipment, the stuff i have is mainly old so i was told i could take it, but people were taking xbox debug and dev kits as well as ps2 debug and dev kits. The only problem with that is, the receivers are coming in, if they find equipment missing they will call the police and have everyone checked out. So i left that stuff alone.

Though i did manage to get a ps2 version disk of Juiced and The Red Star with the Acclaim Logos in so that should be worth something after a new publisher releases them.

woah, don't touch dev kits with a 10 yard pole then!

that would be really cool for you(better if you have a gaming collection) to bring a juiced and red star disks. :smt045
