Yeh adderall is straight up speed. It IS 4 different types of speed though which is why if you have taken adderall and dexedrine before you notice a huge difference. Dexedrine is pure dextroamphetamine which is more potent than the other forms. However for me I don't feel a come up or come down like I do with adderall which is implemented deliberately by the manufacturer. On top of that the levoampethamine in adderall is supposed to be more helpful for concentration than pure dextroamphetamine and I tend to agree. Dexedrine seemed to give me more of a speedy kick than adderall where with adderall I usually get the energy boost IF I want it. If I don't want it I can easily just sit in my chair and do the work in front of me but if I'm out playing tennis you can easily notice it having an effect. The main diff for those who pinch pennies? Dexedrine time released spansules are generic as the patent expired long ago. Adderall XR runs me a $45 copay with insurance as the patent doesn't expire for another couple of years. Sucks really.
