    I find most US adds cringe worthy (I do like the Genesisdoes ones though). Probably the best of them for me are the 80's Atari adds. Soo bad yet I like to watch them.

    How were the ads in Europe back in the day?

    European adds were quite classy or at least the UK ones were. While American adds were (or still are?) about slagging off the opposition or being "in yeh face", in the UK it was more about making people remember your adds. Sega's Sega Pirate TV adds are legendary. Any UK member will know these. Today they're a bit cheesy but back then they really stood out and not once was there any Nintendo bashing or hyper active gobshites telling us what we should buy. I'm sure there are some on YouTube but I'm stuck in work now so I can't access YouTube to post any links.
