Agree/Disagree? Microsoft has baited 18million people

1) I dont mind paying 7.99 a month for xbox live, beats playing a game online on the ps3's lag infested servers.

2) microsoft has been VERY good with making sure that i get a new system as soon as humanly possible whenever ive had a RROD ( 2 times), and also they have thrown me free xbox live 3 month cards and free MS points with the new system.

3) Like it or not, Gamerscore and Achievements add a HUGE amount of replay value to games, depending on how theyre implemented into the game.

No offense, but this sounds like nothing more than a PS3 fanboy trying to make a pointless attack at the 360 and Microsoft. As much as i dislike Sony, i wont go as far as to say theyre baiting people into buying a $500 Blu-ray player by disguising it as a game console. oh crap, i just said it!!! lol.

This is very true, and has also sold a great many mediocre games, especially close after launch. That said, it definitely made me replay games I'd otherwise have shelved after I'd finished them, which is great.

Yeah, gamerscore wise - i never would have tried some of the insane difficulties on games.

nore would i purplsly use the needler for 5 kills in a halo game.

as for xbox live being 7.99 a month...do the math properly please.

Yeah i kinda was making an attack towards sony and the ps3. I have owned all of the Playstations and hated the 1st Xbox, however other than MGS4, which is just coming out and i havent picked up yet, i have really not used my Ps3 other then as a blu-ray player since i got it. Xbox fanboy??? no, just a disappointed Sony fan.

Like someone else said, I have never experienced lag on the PSN, in fact, there is lots more lag on Xbox Live for me, some older games are totally unplayable onlinewhilst the newer ones are pretty good, but still have lag at times with those as well.

 

Indeed I've just been playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and I didn't notice any lag, even playing Japanese and Hong Kong people from Australia.

See its been the exact opposite for me, PSN lags like hell on every game ive tried for PS3, while the only time ive ever experienced lag on XBL is when i forgot that i had my computer downloading some stuff:icon_bigg

Dont get me wrong, the PS3 has potential, we are just now getting to see that with MGS 4, I just view the X360 as more of a "complete" package, especially in terms of the game library available for it. IMO, right now, besides MGS4, the only good games for the PS3 are also available for the X360 ( Im sorry, but Resistance sucked, IMO, and UT3 is coming to 360 soon), while the X360 has a few good exclusives (Gears of War, Nnja Gaiden 2, the GTA4 DLC (not out yet)). I must say Halo 3 was dissapointing though.

yeah what plan i get depends entirely upon how much extra cash i have when my membership expires, usually i get 3 month packages but sometimes i gotta bite the bullet and get a month until i actually have 20 bucks for a 3 month. dammit i need to find a better job lol.

it's true PSN lags on PES2008 online for a friend of mine as well. players seem to warp here and there! The Wifi connection also sucks balls on the Wii - Brawl was nearly unplayable for me online!

XBL (the one month trial i had at least) was smooth as butter!

 

I think this whole lag thing really depends on the game. Some have probs, some don't.

 

i dont have a camera to take a pic of my PS3 with ( sorry but i have a shitty job that doesnt pay enough and i have more pressing issues in life than a digital camera), No offense to you Taucias, but i really dont feel as if i have anything i need to prove to you. im just here discussing 2 systems that i own, and IMO what the pros and cons are of each.I can see you obviously love your PS3, and im happy for you AND sony about that one, but me personally i happen to like my 360 more than my ps3. no need to prove what i do or dont own, just that you feel like your purchase was worth the money, while i feel otherwise. Im sure theres plenty of people out there who have bought a 360 and feel like they were shat upon. its just a matterof personal preference.

edit: ill try to borrow a camera or use a friends camera phone next time theyre over to take a pic of my Ps3 with my forum name on paper next to it, just for you:icon_bigg.

 

depends on the game. I've had no real laggy games on XBL, but Brawl on Wii was unplayable but Mario Kart was smooth as silk. As for PS3, Grand theft Auto lagged like hell but Resistance was A-OK...

it's depending on the games really.

 

racing games are easier to predict than a game like Brawl, it's pure statistical prediction and a few frames of actual gameplay by other players.
