AIM childishness

I'm taking these chats off line becuase they paint an unrealistic image of me and frankly make me look sleezy. Which I'm not

 

I don't touch AIM, never needed to really, but you can see what IP is associated with a particular connection/executable for various other IM's including Yahoo, MSN and Skype so I can't see why not for AIM.

It's fairly low tech too, only one line in at the command prompt and there it is.

It's not too difficult to then work out more info about the location of the IP and possibly the ISP.

Having said that, this just looks like kids messing around for kicks.

 

Yeah, weeding out the morons who don't know how to support an argument is delicious fun.

 

I know Yahoo logs IPs and MSN as well but AIM uses a server and from what I was told you can only track the IP though AIM's direct connection.

I did wonder as much which is why I said I don't (read have never) touch AIM and to be honest I was too lazy to check :110:

If you really need to get someones IP via AIM (to bypass the servers) get them to accept a file transfer, then you an trace that connection.

It would be fun to be able to bounce back their petty threats with an IP address.

Normally this doesn't bother me in the least, but the fact that you are youth minister and actually talk about these dreams somewhat does.

From what I understand of those stings, everyone arrested was there for one reason: to fuck a little boy. Few, if any, said otherwise. They only get charged with intent, so maximum penalty is low. Their lives are still fucked though.

I doubt they would need to do that. Bottom line is they are grown men going to screw little girls (or boys), they deserve it all. Its not like they can just make an AIM conversation up, seeing as though the people need to know how to get there.

From what I've gathered over time it resembles a classy Live TV style news expose type program.

 

"news programs" these days aren't about news at all. And you get the right writers you can make up anything.

 

some people are really strange and i've found after 1 or maybe even 2 messgaes they just dissapear and you never hear from them again but i don't use AIM so don't know what thats like?? i stick to Live messenger(msn).

have had someone call me a pedo on myspace becuase i was talking to a girl a few years younger than me and that my favourite band was only my favourite becuase (he) thought that it was only little emo girls that listened to them. Soon sent him a reply asking him "when was it introduced that talking to someone younger than me was considered being a peadophile"

 

I had some wierdo keep iming me before, and so I decided to out of nowhere talk to him like we were both in some kind of cult. I kept calling him The Chosen and told him we needed to assemble at the 4H camp to discuss how were going to take down the whitey. I wish I still had the convo, it was hilarious because he started going OH I THINK I REMEMBER.

Wow... fired for what half the church (assuming half of the congregation are men) do at home. Yeah, Church is definitely not the place to do it, but sometimes you just can't fight that feeling.

They are no different than any other station doing stuff for ratings. Innocent people being caught in the crossfire happens every day. I still think these stings do way, way more good than bad. They keep me out of jail. If I catch someone trying to lay a finger on my son, I will turn them into goatse w/ a baseball bat. If they survive that, I'll make sure they're lemon partied when they get to prison. It will not be pleasant.

Perhaps its time to look into more fruitful activities in the morning.
