Hello, this is my first message. I'm from italian videogamer's community gamescollection.it. Excuse me for my English :)
I'm a lot concerned about yahoo's auction agent akibado.com: their domain is expired and the site is no more online. The problem is that they have a lot of my games and money! I've also tried to phone them, but the person who answers me cannot speak english and he doesn't understand what I say. Is there someone that knows something, or that lives in japan, knows japanese, and can call them in order to discover what is happening?
    Thanks for attention
    Lucio

    3-13-17, Saiwaicho, Shiki
    Saitama, 353-0005,

Well, there's the address. It's about 30 mins by train from where I live, but I'm so unbelievable skint right now, that I can't even afford the train fare there and back. If you haven't heard anything when I get paid next weekend, I'll go and take a look for you if you want.

That's even 5 minutes (literally) from me. In fact it's a whole two stations away (its closer to Yanasegawa then Shiki), I'm cycling close by there tomorrow so I'll swing by there tomorrow morning and give them a knock.

Jesus christ. Their Yahoo account name was banned for negative feedback too a few days ago. I have items / money with them still and so do friends! What the fuck!

They can still be accessed via their IP 210.128.159.48 so save any evidence you need.

    Jamtex, please keep us updated!

Good luck guys. You unfortunately have almost zero ground legally though. :(
If you're looking for a replacement, lemme know. I still do feel bad for you kids.

How is that even possible? They have my money, and my items I paid for. I have email proof of this.

The problem is that, if their account has expired, they cannot even read mails sent to info@akibado.com, right?

After this, I'll surely use your auction agent. Even if they give me back items in their deposit and money

According to their webiste from their IP address (http://210.128.159.48/info.html)

    their address is

    Yoshimura Building
    3rd floor
    1-2-2 Higashi Nihonbashi
    Chou-Ku
    Tokyo
    103-0004
    Japan

    Number - +81 (0)3 3866 3828

Sounds like they moved from Saitama a few years ago, still I'll see.

They replied to my email! But it seems they don't understand that there is a big problem
They say that the only thing that doesn't work well is self bidding, that there aren't other problems and that the site is online :banghead:
But the self-bidding is interrupted since a month for a problem, and until this morning this hasn't meant that all website is offline
    I don't understand...
    Here is the mail:

    Dear Lucio Campani,

    Hello,
Thank you for your notification, but our website is active.
We checked our server just to be safe, but we did not find
any error or defect factor in our web server. As for our
Self-bidding system, we are making modifications and some
tests in the system in order to adapt a system modification
in Yahoo Auctions Japan, and it will take a few days more
or a week to make assurance doubly sure on the stability of
    our bidding system.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this trouble,
but please send us Bid Request Form if you want to place
an bid until it's completed. We appreciate your cooperation
    and understanding.

    Simply reply and say:
Your DNS is fucked. That seems to be the problem.

Hmm, seems someone just needs to swing by Nihonbashi and give them a swift kick to the rear.

That's what kinda struck me earlier today too, when Dot50Cal messaged me saying that Akibado was "fucked". 'cause the site worked fine for me and it worked fine earlier that morning when I had logged in to check something on my profile and it still works perfectly fine for me.

They let the registration lapse a few days ago and just renewed it so it probably messed up the DNS for a day. Although the new registration is for their place in Saitama.

I wonder where their provider is. They seem to think there is no problem (means their DNS is okay) but I'm in Tokyo, and mine wasn't fine (although is now). Anyways, offer still stands if anyone wants to defect. ;)
