Yes, but all of the proxy stuff is hidden unless you're logged in. I can't handle a shitload of users really, so it's only semi-open. You can read all about it here. If you want to register, I have to preapprove your email address, which you can PM me.

Yea, no one please use Akibado.com. I had used them for about 1 year. They never screwed me over but did they take LONG AS HELL. I think once it took them 3 months for me to receive an item I had won on YJA. So I have stopped using them and now use SMJ. They are simply the best!!!

I wouldn't go that far, but apparently they are good. Still not error-free. Anything that big is going to have fuck ups. Shit, I bought an item for someone in Akihabara and sent it to the wrong country not long ago. Whoops.

Well you are right of course. SMJ did actually fuck up a batch of my orders which I believe they wrongfully shipped the items out to another user instead and they never got the items back (looks like you've made the same mistake :110:). But they were very helpful with the whole ordeal and when I finally asked them to credit back the money I had paid for those items, they did it instantly. So even though they did mess up my order once, it's no big deal. I eventually got those items that were lost from other sources, or at least most of them anyways. I still use them all the time though. Not gonna blame them for one mess up. Hope they learn from their mistakes and be more careful when processing shipping orders from now on.

Remember me whenever you decide that you can travel and buy items storefront. Still looking for someone that can do that for me .

Yeah, I've mailed out the wrong stuff to people before. I almost sent a really heavy current gen system to the wrong continent. That would've sucked.

By the way, I'm also in the same sh*t as some of you guys.

I've been an Akibado customer for almost 3 years now and never been disappointed. Always great service, but extremely slow response.
At the moment, Akibado has about 30 items for me in their office since December 07.

I made a shipping request in January, 2 in February and 3 in March, no answer so far.

10 days ago, they did update my account, issuing a confirmation number for all my items.
You can't believe how happy I was. icon_bigg

Usually, after they issue a confirmation number the process is pretty fast as they will immediately send an email with the total amount I have to pay.

Except this time, I did get a confirmation number, but no email...
I sent 2 emails so far since then, but no answer.

I hope they will manage to ship the package out after all. It seems like there is still someone working on Akibado over there, but only a few times a week/a month.

I switched to Rinkya yesterday. Although more expensive, it seems like the girls are more reliable. ;-)

I'll keep you guys updated when I have more news if you want.

An update here as well. One of my items from 2007-11-29 has been marked as arrived. I'm just waiting on one from 2007-12-01.

    A small update.

I've got an email from Akibado with the total amount I have to pay (about 50000yen, yep), nearly 1 month after getting a confirmation number.

The reason why : "It took much time
to check expenses for your items."

Ok, so now, time to use Paypal for the last time.

All my items are listed as arrived now, just waiting on them to ship. What shipping number was yours kuir? Its usually a good indicator of how long I'll have to wait.

What they said is Japanese for "we fucked up, didn't have time, have no clue what we are doing, but with this answer, you're not allowed to prod any further.". It's a common tactic. These guys sound like a great group to do business with.

Well, my confirmation number was A0803281545, so it means it was issued March 28th, 08.

When all my items were listed as arrived, I made a shipping request in January. So it took them 2 months to give me that number and an additional month to ask the final payment.

I paid by Paypal a few days ago all the expenses, so now I hope they will send the (big) package soon.

@ GaijinPunch : Thanks for this "Japanese business" translation. :icon_bigg

    EDIT :
Just to make it easier to read :

January 27th : All items listed as arrived
January 27th : First shipping request (shipping number : 4806)
February 15th : Second shipping request (shipping number : 4855)
February 28th : Third shipping request (shipping number : 4867)
March 28th : Confirmation number issued, no email received to let me know the final payment
April 24th : Received an email with the final payment
April 24th : Paid by Paypal
May 1st : Items listed as "Shipped"
May 10th : Package arrived at home (SAL Parcel)

So after all, everything went fine and smooth after getting their email with the final payment. But it took them 4 months to send this email !
