Alien 3 Officially didn't happen. New Movie will be an alternate Aliens Sequel.

I know what you meant -- and still think you're wrong. Commercially, yeah, I'll give you that one easily. That can often mean the movie sucks though.

 

I don't want to bring this thread off-topic, so we'll have to agree to disagree. While Zodiac might have been slow at parts and Benjamin Button was a bit overlong, I consider both of them to be better movies than Alien3. It is somewhat difficult to compare movies so dissimilar. To a certain extent it is all a matter of opinion, though.

 

I still haven't watched past Aliens. I have the four movies (minus Prometheus, which I should buy) on Blu-Ray and Alien is amazing, but I can't stand Aliens (I seriously hate James Cameron's movies, at least the ones I've seen which admittedly isn't many). I kinda gave up after that.

I really liked District 9, and although (as far as I can remember) it's the only Blomkamp film I've seen, I liked his directing style, so I want to see more. I've heard Chappie isn't that great, but I need to see it for myself, because it sounds like there's a lot of wasted potential, so it may not be complete garbage.

 

I loved aliens, but I saw it growing up as a kid. I thought the final scene with the mech style mover was absolutely bad ass. Yeah I don't have to much of an opinion on Chappie... Some parts are so f'ing strange.

 

Only three Blomkamp movies have been released, and Elysium was a disappointment for me after D9.
