Aliens Colonial Marines - Did Gearbox trolled us all?

*see thread I just made* Compared to this Street Fighter X Tekken Gate is Nothing.

I was really looking forward to this game too and it's a bit sad they botched it just as much as Alien 3.
I guess Aliens was never intended to have a Sequel.

 

alien 3 was a decent movie, especially if you watch the directors cut

 

@Kevin, i really hope Sega will sue them to hell.
This Randy Pitchfork is an asshole.
But also Sega is to blame because they could have taken the project away from GBX a lot sooner and give it to a Studio who has time.

 

SEGA failed at some point...

They both failed in a way, one because of management failure, the other because he accepted a contract he couldn't complete.
Their reputation will be tarnished.

 

alien from 1 to 3 were great, and most of alien games up to this one were great too

Alien 3 isn't great or even good. Right at the beginning it pukes all over Aliens by killing off two survivors in a lame way, then proceeds to be a rehash of Alien, except browner.

 

true but by the time alien 3 came out carrie henn was older and micky beihn was having some issues and a almost dead career,

but we could do the whole alien 3 debate over n over again some people like it some people don't but i think it suffered some of the corperate bullshit and missmanagment that colonial marines has, so maybe comparable there.

i doubt we'll get a colonial marines: directors cut, to fix everything unless the mentioned 8gb patch is real and on its way.

Serious deja vu over the Alien 3 discussion. I think it's come up at least 3 or 4 times. I still need to rewatch the first two.

 

i'd recommend you grab the alien quadrilogy box set, its pretty good and includes the theatrical releases and the special editions/directors cuts and another disc with some documentaries and laserdisc archive footage

can be picked up pretty cheap now, there's a dvd and bluray version, first 2 movies are excellent.

but yeah even since i've been on here(not that long) i've seen the alien 3 debate a few times lol.

 

The Alien Anthology is definitely better than pretty good, even though 3 is pretty bad and Resurrection is a steaming pile, the extras more than make up for it - there's even a documentary on the troubled production of 3.

 

I have the first two movies on Blu Ray and all four are on Cinemax ALL THE TIME

 

Note to self: Watch Alien series.
