so what rules was it you had broken? Stuff like this isn't just handed out to anyone so "whoever" you got this from obviously warned you prior to you buying it. If this was the case I find it hard to beleive you would advertise the "sale" so publicly. The seccond message you got makes sense too. If you really had it and were wanting to sell it surely anyone who knows what this is would have done a fundraiser etc or sold it seperatly instead. If you had it I presume you paid alot for it yourself, if that was me and I needed the money id have gone down the fundraiser route. As mentioned before, look at the gbc fundraiser.

 

What kind of sale is it that you buy something yet the item isn't yours to do with as you wish i.e sell it again? Once you buy something it's yours, anyone that tries to set any rules clearly doesn't understand the idea of transferring of ownership. No reason the sale can't be public, anyone that's acting like they can enforce any of these "rules" that have been broken probably shouldn't be selling stuff to people if they're gonna still act like its their property anymore.

The fact that the data has been bought and paid for now make the following points redundant (yet still valid). The OP didn't have 50 posts at the time the sales thread went live and he also didn't provide a picture of the items he was selling with his name and the site name so actually broke 2 of the site rules.
What will be done about this? Nothing is my guess...

Secondly, once you have bought something you are free to do with it what you like. If the new owner wants to release it, great... if he wants to start a fundraiser, great... if he wants to wipe his ass with it, set it on fire then put said fire out with his own urine, great!
Nobody can tell anybody what they can and cannot do with something they have bought (I know technically he doesn't own the rights to it but the likelyhood of it coming on top are slim... it's not exactly current gen no matter how much hype there is over it).

Lastly, and I am really starting to feel like a broken record here but IMO the rules need a complete overhaul and a points based disiplinary system needs to be implimented for anyone in breach of the rules. This would have stopped any of the shit in this thread before it even began!

Also unless I have misread this clusterfuck, he sold a copy of the orignal, not the original. A copy which apparently the owner of the original made to sell when some funds were needed.

So imo the original owner is a greedy cheeky CUNextTuesday for not selling the original but making copies (ie preying on others desperation for this title, while still retaining the only disc with actual collector value).
The seller here is a greedy cheeky CUNextTuesday for being I assume desperate to buy it (and therefore condoning such pathetic behaviour by the original seller).

1st rule is clear.
2nd rule seems to allow for a sale of a copy however...

 

I was simply saying "some sales" I wasn't saying had or needed to agree to anything, but seeing as we don't know where or how he got it from, it isn't unreasonable to think something like this could have happened. Im not saying it did happen im simply saying it could have happened. There's no disks, if there was from this source there would have been others and something would have been leaked by now. If the seller is selling a copy he no doubt would make another copy for himself before the sale. The value of this disk is its content, not the disk itself.

I mean if you own it, great, but I just see to many people pulling this shit (and from what i'm reading you've trolled/got banned before on other sites). If you're so sick of people keeping it private why didn't you release the build you own before? hell I remember reading a thread about a month back where you were so excited and stoked for this team to release their build. Why would you be excited for another release when you've had a copy yourself all along? So now that you've stated you own a copy, you have no other options but to prove that you in fact actually do possess it.

Funny how the only evidence of the early prototype of 1.5 disappeared with that video. Not even a screenshot, nothing at all.

 

What did this video contain? was it clearly new footage we've never seen... or area's we seen but it's known as new footage?
