You can still do one, I'm currently working on a at least two other boxes at the moment. :) I can give you a link to a template.

They used the same cover that was on most PC copies of the game, and they even stole the 3DO cover for version 2! Plus its the first game, not the second which is shown.

Quarantine was a weird game. Crazy Taxi meets Doom. Very gory. I seem to remember having fun with it on the PC.

I love it when people know what they are talking about!

I eventually bought all 3 games (in a collection box of some sort) for my Power Macintosh in early 2000. I can tell you that AITD 2 was just outright sluggish in every way. AITD 1 and 3 ran quickly on my Mac...but for some reason AITD2 ran like molasses (and I had a pretty capable system).
AITD 3 ran unbelieveably well like close to 60fps on my setup...I mean there was even a "Enhanced for Power PC" logo at the beginning. I was scratching my head as to why the previous game ran so poorly.

I think it was just poorly programmed and this carried over to any and all other formats (Saturn, PC, etc). It's as if the developers took AITD, did a "save as" and just tacked on new scenery and graphical assets without bothering to optimize the code. Kind of like what Technos did with the arcade version of Double Dragon II...why bother fixing all the slowdown issues, just take the existing DD1 engine and add enhancements.

That sort of explains why the Saturn version is so bad. Honestly I find it unplayable it's so sluggish.

Woah, nice scans! Haven't seen them until now.

I recall that the image with the Edward Carnby closeup is exactly the same one I saw in a console magazine back in its day, so it's likely these were the only pics ever officially distributed from this version, a solid attempt to carry over the PC version in its original shape by its looks. I wonder if these are really taken from the aborted 32X version or are just images taken from the PC version and serving as orientative purposes.

As for why the Sega Saturn version of Alone in the Dark 2 (Alone in the Dark: Jack is Back) is so sluggish, my bet is that it's simply because it was ported over from the PlayStation version. Alone in the Dark: Jack is Back is a fully textured version of the original AitD2 which was targeted for both the Sega Saturn and PlayStation, and while the game works flawless on the PlayStation, it's a pain in the ass on the Sega Saturn. Typical of when developers coded their games primarily for the PlayStation and then just went on a straight and lazy conversion from that system to the Sega Saturn.
