A friend of mine bid on a Tetris DS. What they didn't do is look where the game will be coming from... China. What are the chances that he is going to get a pirated cart? It's meant to be a Christmas gift for me, so I am guessing if it is a pirated cart, it will not work on my 3DS. I told him for now on, look where it's at before you bid, and their feedback as well. But someone could have 100% and still sell shitty stuff. :roll eyes: =hugh
Depends on the seller but good chance it's a fake, though not all sellers from HK are selling fakes (since some import shops that deal in legit stuff sell on ebay).
If the auction was really cheap then it's most likely going to be a bootleg. They are usually cart only auctions & somewhere in the auction text they usually mention that it won't work with a dsi.
If you do and nothing is mentioned in the listing. Report them to eBay, and you might get a refund and get to keep the bootleg. Also when you get it you'll surely know it's fake, but some bootlegs are REALLY well hidden. Chances are pretty high to get a bootleg game from HK/CN, so you gotta be careful.
Yes, it's for the cart only, but it doesn't say it won't work on a DSi. Here is the link to the auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/26090425567...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_2548wt_1189 When he gets the cart,if it is pirated (I agree that it most likely to be). I will have him contact Ebay and PayPal. I only buy in the US locations, but is there away to determine it legit seller? dumb question to ask, but I thought that I would ask. =hugh
- cart only - from Guangdong - "new" stock Your chances of getting a bootleg just increased by 9000%. There are tons of "cart only but NEW" Tetris DS games on ebay, all from China. Where would Chinese traders get so many legit, loose US-versions from? It's pretty obvious what those gangsters are doing there. As far as the picture goes, you can tell by the odd sticker and print quality. Of course I could go on and criticize how ebay once again cares a shit about real copyright infringements while banning users for selling old development hardware. I could if I wasn't wondering how anyone can still fall for a loose "NEW" cartridge of a very popular current-gen game that is being shipped from China by a commercial seller.
http://www.defcon-5.com/noc/video.cfm?docid=292 The label on his Tetris DS cart is far more sketchy making it far more obvious something is amiss. The label on this one looks legit in terms of likely being a scanned version of a legit cart rather than a haphazard Photoshop job.
Like I said, this isn't my buy. It was my friend's thinking it would be a Christmas gift. Oh well he just lost $13.00 over it, not a big loss. =hugh
Im guessing it will be a fake too, the sellers ps3 controllers are fake clones. I have never had a fake item from Hong Kong sellers but Chinese seller I do not trust even if their photo is of a genuine item.
Oh yeah, that cart is fake alright. The sticker isn't even on the cart properly and has horrible print quality.
If either of you had half a brain (to put together into a full one) you'd report it to eBay as counterfeit and demand a refund. If refund isn't giving you go through PayPal. If PayPal doesn't cooperate you do a chargeback with your bank and tell PayPal to go to hell. $13 is $13 too much.
Excluding the "Nintendo" on label, would they be covered by changing slightly the rom? (sorry for the foolish question) I agree with APE, you/your friend should report it to eBay as counterfeit and demand a refund.
They removed the listings as supposed items not allowed. But ebay's policy enforcement sucks, the DS pirates this topic is about get away with constant stuff.
