Just watched the 'new' DOA film and for what it's worth I thought it was rather good, bearing in mind most game tie in films tend to be crap. Anyone else think the film was okay?
You know, I didn't even know it was released yet. I remember the thread about it here but never saw any commercials or ads for it anywhere. Is it any good?
It is, more to the point its cleverly done. Granted its never gonna win an Oscar, or make u think to much, but if u take it for what it is and u like DOA as an entertainment piece, its worth a view. Without going into too much depth heres a few example that make it work... -In the game players can fall off the side high cliff's etc...the same is true in the film. -The island looks the same as in the game. -The backdrops look the same as in the game. -All the characters look right, both male and female. -The fighting scenes look 'believeable' on a player by player basis. -They play volleyball for fun! Yep, seriously hot :thumbsup:
Where can you see it??? I thought about it the other day but I've never heard of it in theaters around here or anything!
According to wiki it was supposed to come out Dec 8th but was pushed backed with no new date so that means it is probably going straight to DVD here.
I thought it was about as good as the first Mortal Kombat movie. heck it's almoast the same plot, greatest fighters of earth gets inivited to the ultimate fight on an mysterious island. ^^
I liked it i just think katsumi and all the rest should of been bigger breasted. but other than that it was good. Ahh eric roberts you B movie star.
what i thougt was that the father of the one girl should have been played by hulk hogan =) the film was trash poor trash kinda like mortal kombat the movie with hot chicks... if you like mortal kombat the movie than go take a beer some popcorn and have fun in the cinema (or buy the dvd)
