I'd say xbox 360 dev might be worth more than we think , given xbox one is so encrypted.

Normally with a new system dev loses value real fast.

I'm not so sure about 360 protos, as xbox one is just a pc box in an unsexy box. XNA, clear protos. That's some sexy stuff.

Even if they do the same with xbox one, it's just gonna be a clear rectangle.....

HA ! Thats a funny joke. You have negative feedback on the site and have passed up several XDKs, while saying that you were looking to buy one.

I wasn't talking to you so calm down and pay attention lol.

Lamprey boards are nothing special, heres a $6 lamprey if you want: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-to-...rial_PS_2_Cables_Adapters&hash=item3381eb48db

    Credits to speedy22: 360 header J2B1 or J2C3
Connect $6 lamprey gnd to 360 header pin 12
Connect $6 lamprey TXD to 360 header pin 1
Connect $6 lamprey RXD to 360 header pin 2

Set the baud rate to 115200, 8N1
Launch Windbg (look on the net for installation instructions)
Power up your 360 Dev and you're kernel debugging.

For starters its hardly "a pc in an unsexy box", just because its using x86-64 doesnt make it a PC. All that is is the instruction set the processor uses - nothing more. The rest of the hardware doesnt have to be anything like a PC.

Also, the original xbox was also x86 - so whats the problem.

The rest of the hardware is like a pc though. The specs on "that one place" prove this to be. Also the Xbox's os is running on an x86 chip, the OS is windows 8 + two other os's I don't feel like trying to remember.

And I'm not sure there is a problem, the adk did look like a pos to be honest but who makes alpha hardware pretty lol.

So are you saying the x86 phones are just a PC too, just because it using an x86 processor? as thats the same thing.

x86 is an instruction set. SATA hdd/optical drive - that was done in xbox 360 and that was PPC, its unrelated to the chipset.

There is no bios, just like the original xbox. Its not "just a pc", its a console using an x86 processor.

"Windows 8" i find unlikely and also irrelevant away - they have that running on ARM and no one is calling them "just a pc" either.

I am aware I'm ranting a bit, but just because its x86 (which is pretty much the only difference over the 360) and it's suddenly a PC.

The 360 alpha was a Mac, which is a PC. No one was saying the 360 was a PC.

X86 is used in some routers too, start up using uboot and runs an embedded os - also not called a PC.

    /rant
    :)

You think your being cute when you obviously lack understanding. Yes, I do agree completely with you about X86 Device /=/ PC. What I don't agree with is that you lack complete understanding of what the subject is. The Durango ADK is an actual computer, it has an intel mobo, processor, hard drives, a pci bus, ram bus, ect. If you had understanding of what were talking about then you would realize that your blabbing on for no reason other then to bloat the obvious. So please do some reading on what we are talking about before you reply, I feel you can hold a conversation about it but not with your current level of understanding.
