NES. FAMICOM. RGB: VIDEOPHILE. HI-FI: AUDIOPHILE. FOUR PLAYERS. NO EMULATION. The Analogue Nt opens a door to the highest quality way to experience the NES and Famicom. It is designed around the heart and brain of the original NES. We've completely reengineered the original NES while remaining true to the original hardware. This means you’ll be experiencing the NES with the hardware it was designed to be played with. No emulation. The Analogue Nt is precision fabricated from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum. Engineered with an uncompromising attitude to quality. There has never been another video game system like it. I know there will be a lot of questions and I cannot wait to share every single detail with everyone. There are features and details that are going to blow everyone away. I promise we won’t disappoint. I'll be unveiling all the fine details and taking orders at the end of March. http://www.analogueinteractive.com
Looks cool. I just saw Gizmodo made a post about this. I'm interested, but I'd imagine it's going to be very expensive, and thus probably out of my price range.
If I were a betting man, it looks like they either: 1. Are making a cycle similar FPGA nes/famicom, and are not calling it emulation(it still considered emulation in some circles). This would also be Dyson type advertising unless they are spot on. 2. Taking old chips from an old NES, playchoice 10, and doing some serious modding. Looking at their website I'm going to lean more towards #2. But it can be a combination of both. Either way, 90% of people who want it, probably can't afford it.
These are my thoughts exactly. It would be good if there were a lower-cost version with a plastic case rather than an aluminum one, which probably adds a lot to the cost and isn't really necessary for most users. I'll admit it looks pretty cool, though. What we're able to see of it, anyway.
This sounds like hardware similar to low_budget's Super8 PCB, with an original CPU/PPU + NESRGB kit installed, with a custom aluminum case. I'd love to know what it actually is, though.
PC10 PPU's are basically worthless now, with viletim's NESRGB design. I may buy one of these, if it turns out to be cheaper than getting a second NESRGB for my Mattel NES.
Given that the other product is a very nicely produced consolized NeoGeo MVS, I'm thinking you are correct or atleast close. If it's true that's cool but, when is someone going to finally produce new hardware that is 100% accurate. It just bothers me that all those cheap Famicom clones had to screw up the audio duty cycles and screw up cartridge port wiring as well.
Analogue Nt: Anodized Color Options We've been working hard to make anodized colors available with our planned release at the end of March. We wanted to keep this a surprise for launch, but our unrelenting quest for perfection has created a short setback. We'll be fully unveiling the Analogue Nt in April with a selection of beautiful anodized color options. It's important to us that all of our wonderful options are available to you upon release. We're thrilled with everyone's excitement and we can't wait to bring something great to you. As always: delays are temporary; mediocrity is forever. P.S. Here are a few small details to hold you over: - compatible with all region titles (NTSC / PAL / Famicom) - compatible with the Famicom Disk System - switchable between stereo and mono
Hdmi is a given but I'm curious on the video output quality? Remember the neogeo x? (Not saying this will be anything like that but its a concern)
Everyone wants to know if your board components (PPU & CPU) are cheap copies (NOAC, inacurrate FPGA implementations) that will work ok 95% of the time or if they are spot on, almost 1:1 copies or chips salvaged from other consoles. So please enough of this suspense
It's the Analogue NT. Im not so sure HDMI is a given. Maybe component video for connecting to modern displays? I assumed the kind of person who would buy something like this is using an RGB monitor or an external video processor.
