I like the faces he makes; but I don't understand his need to be vulgar.

 

More entertainment, more views, and he has to live up to the name.

So does he actually have a legit gold cart? I know that pat guy has a legit grey cart.

Also, while the world championships carts are rare and well known, I'd hesitate to call them the holy grail, even of the new library. I can think of a lot of rarer carts.

 

Maybe not the holy grail when it comes to rarity, but definitely holy grail of items people desire to own (popularity).

 

Doesn't anyone else have issues watching videos on GameTrailers? Am I the only one? I haven't seen the last 2 or 3 episodes because the player they use just craps out on me or something... I don't know...

Trust me, you're not alone. It always freezes up for me. I just download the episodes, not worth the trouble trying to watch it through that player.

 

Their player is pretty bad, but when you log in, you can download the videos.

The comments on the AVGN site say both of them are Pat's.

 

When I first found out about AVGN his curses made me laugh alot. Overtime it doesn't have the same effect but I think as a film producer he's a genius.

 

He basically copies Alton Brown but applies the format to Videogames.

I think his show is OK, sometimes funny. But mostly it is overly labored and predictable.

 

Alright, I might have to sign up and download them...

Is it weird that something like AVGN can already be nostalgic for me? I don't laugh often now when I watch his episodes but they just remind me of good 'ol days of college when me and my roommate would watch the episodes all the time.

I'm also a fan of all the other content on his website and check it almost daily. I'd like to meet him one day. He seems like a really cool guy.

Am i the only 1 that is dissapointed?
And no,im not a hater.I like the show and his site.
But you can really see he is not giving 100% here and he has to give pat a role for the grey cart in the episode.
It seems MADE,i don't know.
Maybe i was expecting something more like swordquest.
Its not epic,im missing back ground information ,the winners and the hunt for the carts and information.

 

Definitely wasn't that great of an episode, but I can't expect them all to be equal.
I am glad you mention the Swordquest video, that was a great Episode by him, & I consider it the best. The Castlevania videos were pretty well done too!

 

Swordquest was godlike. Literally the best episode IMO.

 

He has said before that he is toning back the episodes while he works on the movie.

 

Of course they can't all be equal..but this is the nwc1990.
I have nothing against pat(unlike some haters on cinemassacre)
But he seems out of place in this video.
I also feel this episode should be more facts en serieus with jokes like swordquest.
You can see the jokes from a mile away.
Anyway im repeating myself.
James is making a movie and nwc episode sufferd.
