Dingoo is not a decision for a hardcore retro gamer I think. You could also use N64 emulator on PC or a console, couldn't you?

PC yes, game console, no. All of the N64 emulators that have ported to them are slow. There hasn't been a full speed N64 emulator released on a game console yet.

I too would love to see an updated gb/gbc cart tbh, the GB/GBC emulators for DS work well enough, but I'd love to have a dedicated hardware cart to use in a gba

There hasn't been a full speed / 100% compatible N64 emulator released period on any platform

Emulation is always a compromise, but N64 emulation has become really good in the last few years.

I honestly think it will be 10 years before 64 emulation will be as close as ps1 is at the moment, that's why this cart is such a great investment. Be nice to try out the betas on real hardware too.

30-60 frames per second is considered full speed. I've never had a problem with compatibility.

Meh. It's not much of an accomplishment to make a slow emulator for a system with already bad average framerates on real hardware.

Rewriting hardware into software isn't an accomplishment? I think it's amazing that these guys spend their time doing it for free so that the rest of us and them can use it.

play games that weren't mainstream hits. N64 emulation is just a hodge podge collection of per-game hacks to make things work, instead of true proper emulation

Quoted for the Truth! But for some reason I think MESS tried proper emulation.

maybe some day Byuu will try his hand at n64 emulation, minreq's will only be a setup as big as Watson's servers

Or you could use mess which isn't in that bad of shape, and won't require a server rack so you can emulate each resistor in the cleanest (read: looks clean, but is inefficient code) manner possible.

New board revision is up and running with all the features of the proto. Usb also enumerates, though I have to write code for that functionality now.
