Maybe because they knwo shooters will sell. It's just a shame they don't try other game types. I'm sure the new Dynamite Deka would sell really well as well.

It's beyond easy. All they have to do is slap on a few menus and viola -- Dreamcast game.

Sadly, I still have no way to play Japanese/Backup games on my DC. Wouldnt Utopia allow me to boot imported games?

Django, you can play Imports with Utopia Bootdisc, but it does not work with every import. If you want to get Karous get DC-X, this always worked great for me.

On Topic: Great News! I dont have money for THE and Karasu though. I think I'll settle for Karasu. hmmm. I want both T_T

If you like Radirgy, go with Karasu... it's almost the same game. If you didn't like it, go for Exelica. Neither are that great to be honest, but compared to everything else being released lately..

Just out of curiosity, are these coming in the normal sized CD jewel cases or are they going the G.Rev route and packaging everything in a DVD case?

I do hope for the former as the DVD cases seem a bit out of place next to all my other DC games...

There are already about 10 DVD-case DC-games out there, but only 3 (when Triggerheart comes out) are playable for non-japanese-speaking people. I'd like to get them all anyway =)

Anyway, I believe Milestone will keep its traditional way and trusts again in jewel cases just like with Radirgy and Chaos Field.

Yeah, Karasu is said to be coming in a standard CD case. THere are still no official images of the case design yet :( But 90% it's going to be a CD style case.

Strange that is. It's not on Sega Direct. Are you sure it's that actual box design and not some promotion cover? I can't check at the moment due to the filters in work.

The cover would be a really beautiful one though. :)

By the way, why is it actually called "Karous" and not just Karasu in Katakana and "Crow" for the english speaking people?

Because the people at Milestone are probably dumb arses who can't spell. It may sound far fetched but I've seen some horrendous spelling of English in Japan. It's as if they are trying to spell the word as they'd say it in Katakana. This is why Milestone have called it Karous (sounds like Crows to them) I could be wrong but it's also very probable :( This is probably also why Radirgy has such a dumb spelling in English as well.

the picture Kron posted is from sega.co.jp

i have never seen them using fake covers, only preliminary ones- which were marked with "sample" (they didnt look any different to the final covers besides that sample sign anyways)

sega direct on the otherhand has always been slow in updating the final covers to the announced products

Gah! Just what I didn't want to see.
Oh well, it's the game that matters in the grand scheme of things, but still.

Well, I don't really care if its a DVD case or not though I'm a collector. Just stand it beside some jpn PS2 shooters and everything is fine ^^

The box design looks awesome in my opinion. Nice noble white design, also the dark blue back is beautiful to look at. I want it now ^^
