Yep, that was HPI products if I recall. They ended up making 2 different controller designs...the "Stealth" which was based on this M2 design and the "Warrior" which was crescent shaped and came bundled with the Samsung N2000 player. While the Stealth model looked similar to this design, it wasn't exactly a carbon copy. The round casing ring where the D-pad resides is entirely absent and it didn't have six buttons on the face of the casing.
That almost looks like a separate piece of plastic - With the little notches present on it's outer edge, I wonder if it was an attempt at a steering wheel?
Interesting... can't tell for certain from the picture, but it looks like it's all one piece. Either way, doesn't look very comfortable for my thumb. :lol:
