"Well, actually Chui worked with Corbin and the Hypertension team a few years ago. He ported or helped create a 3D engine for them, so it's not an impossible task. I don't think they're using that engine anymore"
    ...lol

Didnt know this... About chui and I thought it was always the same engine. What happened with it?
Anyway getting a 3d engine goin on dreamcast is awesome, looks decent so far.

*makes me think of insector x

Thanks Tom. I think the interview came out great. We are really proud and excited about how both projects are going so far.

    This is so cool!
I'm inclined to believe that this is a passion work more than anything. But who knows if someday it happens to be viable.
At least the guys are increasing their portfolio.

Well, it's definitely a labor of love if that's what you mean, but our plan is to release both projects as full retail games, either with the help of a certain (american) publisher or using Kickstarter.

    By the way:

First teaser of Ameba, published months ago:
First (audio) teaser of Xenocider, published one month ago: https://soundcloud.com/retrosumus/project-q-industrial-stage-demo

I'll be keeping an eye on these boards just in case you guys have any questions regarding our projects :)

We had one of our regular video-meetings last night. We had some fun with level design, constantly going from Blender to a real hardware demo to check if the modelling would work and look right. This is a wip pic of one of the planets :)

This looks interesting, finally a new DC game that isn't another halfassed 2D shooter.

Iirc they were using a modded doom engine and then switched to the blood engine after a while.

I heard it started out as a Blood mod then became a standalone thing. Which is based off a derivative of the Doom engine.
All the info I can find came from the Blood wiki, so take it as you will: http://www.blood-wiki.org/index.php/HYPERTENSION

    Dev Diaries #2!

Contrary to what is common in the video game and movie industries, composer Juanjo Martín has been there since the very first moment the plot for AMEBA was being planned. Which means he contributed some ideas for the main characters. This is what happens when Juanjo and yours truly meet for a late night brainstorming session…
