I have a question about the 3DO M2 console, are there any emulators based on it because I am very curious about the console and if they are any emulators for it? Thanks.
Of course, there are. I know of at least two, beside MAME. Find one attached. This one was quite advanced an can play the arcade games to some extent (albeit it's *VERY* slow). Sadly, work on it already ceased 5 years ago. btw, to switch to a different game, the code must be recompiled...
I haven't followed the latest MAME developments, but it seems it'll be the only way to have a M2 system emulated. With just a handful of games released, i guess it's not their top priority.
I noticed you said the code has to be recompiled, that part I don't mind, but do you know what heatof11's image must be called for it to boot up? It throws an error when I used the chd, it says "Could not open CD Image!". I also tried the physical disc's image in iso as well as bin format, it still threw up the same error?
Ok, I did quite a bit of digging. I went through the coding of this emulator. It was messily put together by the author as he himself mentioned, but I found out what I needed after a good 15 minutes of browsing. To get the one playable game, 'heat of 11' to play, you need the files " 93c46.7k, 636a01.8q , dallas.5e, and one more file" the last file is the heat of 11 disc image. it can't be the chd file, it MUST be the actual physical disc's ripped image, like the one I uploaded to the net a while back. and the image must must MUST be called 'heatof11.raw' or it doesn't boot! good luck ladies and gents Oh, and if I make any progress on the coding to get the other games to work, I will post my progress with tutorials as usual! good luck everybody!!
Really? It said in an article that the author was vastly embarrassed of his work or something to that effect and that he had no desire to finish a full working version of the emulator I thought. Is there any place in particular that you heard he is working on coding for the mame drivers??
