The one thing that impresses me most about Mario Maker from watching hours of YouTube clips (dont have a Wii U to play the game on unfortunately) is all the cool stuff people are doing that would never ever appear in an actual Mario game. Like the person who used the Bowser flying car, a bunch of flying enemies and some flying fire flowers to produce a side-scrolling shooter level. And the person who created a ghost house level where the 2 screens are mirror images of each other and you take warp pipes that "flip gravity". Or all the levels inspired by Zelda and other video games. And the ones that present you with a puzzle to solve.
