Any particular reason Nintendo is being slow with N64 and SNES Virtual Console games?

You would think they would put out some of the bigger titles such as the NES Super Mario Bros, Zelda 2, and Super Mario World by now. I can understand the N64 due to it being 3D, but why does the Genesis and TG-16 have more than Nintendo's own selection?

 

Because they want to stagger the games over a longer period to keep peoples interes most likely.

They added 3 games to the Japanese list today but they were all Famicom games. Another will be added tomorrow but I'm guessing that will be a Famicom game as well

Not all of them were famicom games mate, super donkey kong was added for the super famicom (^_^) Just got it for my mum as she loves playing that game.

Im holding out for picross next week Yaaay.

Reggie is using the VC as a method to keep interest in/momentum up for the Wii when there aren't any new Wii releases. Unfortunately, for NOA the VC is not about system history, or even making money on old titles. It's just about keeping Wii interest locked. >

 

If you want emulated retro shooting action in pro-scan.. a PC has been around for years has it not ?

Because NOA is a dick. Even Europe is set to get Castlevania for Snes and usa wont.

N64 i think is purely down to emulation. There has been a few N64 games to be reviewed by the ESRB so there is a few comming early next year.

 

While we're mentioning what we'd like to see for VC, I'd like to see arcade games like 1944, Mars Matrix, Marvel Vs. Capcom, KoF, etc. And also some PCE CD games like Sapphire. Oh yes and Dracula X while we're at it. Ofcourse Nintendo can't do that, it would just be too cool for them to handle.

From an interview with reggie he states it is NOJ decision of what can and can not be released in each region. I think nintendo is more focused on selling the wii itself in the U.S. then once supply is steady where you can easily buy it, they will probably add more.

Get a chipped xbox then? (it also supports higher resolutions then the Wii, as well as letting you play arcade games and what not)

 

Personally i dont mind paying for roms as its nice to support the developers.

Obviously im not paying for stuff that was in doubutsu no mori like tennis or golf or any of the really basic 8 bit famicom stuff as i already have those. But i dont mind paying for the pc engine or the sfc stuff.

Nowdays a games magazine can cost anything from £3.50 to £6, id rather have a game anytime over a magazine. Thats how i justify it hehe (^_^)

True pc's & xboxes do emulation great but this is the first time i actually get to do it legally.

 

It also supports a lot more space and uglyness.

Japan got it well compared to the rest of the world. The Panzer Dragoon Orta edition, white colored XBOX is not half bad in my opinion. Still bulky though, and the controller sucks, S or Duke.
