Anybody have Vampire Collection (Darkstalkers collection) on PS2?

The game isn't checking shit. Those are lies spread by idiots. HDL just isn't compatible with the game, nor SwapMagic it seems. This isn't protection, just the limits of how you are booting the game. The problem is likely because the game is loading new code that is not being patched by HDL. Many games have that issue. Atleast that is what I've seen on the problem.

Anyhoo, get ISOBuster, extract a .ISO of your DVD. Then get the Memento Disc patcher and patch the ISO. You can confirm it has been patched by opening the ISO again in ISOBuster and seeing the UDF file system renamed to DVD_TS or something like that. But the regular ISO file system will be the original still.

Once patched simply burn the ISO to a DVD-R. Make sure your burner and DVD-R brand is decent. If you have to, go run to BestBuy and get some Sony DVD-Rs. After that, you'll need to install ESR which is easy to do with SwapMagic. Look for the thread here that I made abouthe "The New PS2 Exploit".
