Not every body has time to eat all that -- or the calories. It's clear Assembler is on a diet as well. "Supplements" - they should supplement the main food source, not replace it.
You'd be surprised how many nutrients are in tomatoes, apples, oranges and such as well as how few calories they add up to when you don't factor in chocolate, beer (don't hurt me!), crisps, and such. Somehow as a species we managed to get this far without supplements for most of our history. Then again we did have scurvy, rickets, beri beri, etc.
Captain Cook went on sea voyages for over a year without his crew members developing scurvy. He carried barrels of sauerkraut (sour fermented cabbage) on his ship and that supplied vitamin C to protect his crew. The Chinese got their vitamin C from sprouted beans. The reason people get sick so easily nowadays is because everyone eats crap crap and more crap. A low sugar and bread diet (unless the ingredients for the bread says sourdough culture) and lots of whole food is the way to go. I sometimes take zinc pills because they keep my eczema down, but I try to avoid this as much as I can. As for immune boosting supplements try coconut oil. I rely on herbal medicine a lot too. Green tea is my cure for a blocked nose in the morning. If your buying coconut oil get extra virgin/cold pressed fair trade.
Apparently coconut oil is the best thing you can put in your body. Read something about it fending off Alzheimers.
