Anyone else not get their stuff from kiff?

You don't mention where you're located. You say about a month - well the cutoff for Christmas shipping to the US was the 10th December. I sent 3 or 4 parcels to the US on the 9th. One of them arrived on Tuesday, the other two yesterday. Shipping via DHL to New Jersey, which usually takes 1-2 days, took something like 10-12 days. Likewise, items I ordered on eBay at the start of December took a couple of weeks to arrive by ordinary mail.

We've had 2 periods of snowfall in most of England, and Scotland has been worse. I believe other countries have had snow, too. Christmas is usually bad enough for delivery, but this is causing chaos! If Kiff didn't ship your items yet, it might be a blessing in disguise! hehe

Incidentally, you seem unsure how he was going to ship them. If you buy anything of high value, ALWAYS state you want it shipped with insurance and tracking... then ask what method the seller will use. I would be inclined to get a phone number if you're spending a lot, too. Illness or other priorities that keep someone from a PC are all too common, and even if someone appears to be ignoring you online, a friendly chat on the phone can often speed matters along.

 

I'm in the U.S.. No, I didn't get a phone # or request a specific method of shipping. Like many of you have said, that kiff is a good, trustworthy guy, so I didn't think anything different after seeing his feedback here.

I just checked out his Feedback and paid on December 1 and kiff said he'd get the package out ASAP. That's the last I heard from him, December 1.

So, if the weather made shipping that bad from the U.K., then maybe it's a good thing he didn't sent it out then like you said.

However, if you know you have outstanding transactions, you should at least keep the person you're dealing with in the loop as to what's going on and if you're going to log in here, take a minute of your time to respond to your PM's.

Kiff isn't the type that rips people off, in fact he's the most honest person I've ever dealt with, so please be patient. The weather, christmas and such has most likely slowed everything down...

The money that was owed has cleared in my account now, but quite some time after it was supposed to. Hopefully I'll get a PM explaining why, but at least I've got my money now.

That said, I've done numerous deals with kiff in the past and this is the first time there's been any problems.

Yep ive dealt with him and he was very good. Can't think of whats happened for him to stop communicating with everyone but i would guess he must be having some problems/might well be ill or in hospital.

 

Got NEOGEO, GP32 and some UMDs from him, near week ago. Yep, sometimes he didn't answer to email's. But finaly he answer to all my questions abt stuff and games in 5-7 days. So I think if he didn't answer he "having some problems/might well be ill or in hospital." as say Paulo.
All items that i got from him come in very good condition and in very well packed box. So its my "+" feedback to him.

It took about 4 months of back and forth with Kiff for my last package (he got sick and had problems with shipping then too). He did throw in a lot of cool extra stuff when the package finally did come through. I'm waiting again for another package; it's been about a month. I'm guessing the storms have caused some shipping problems. I haven't seen him on in the past week or so. Whenever he gets back, make sure you get a tracking number... my last package came really fast once it finally got picked up on his side.

 

You can ask members on here, I've had a ton of stuff get really slowed down and gone missing on here at the moment due to the Snow creating a backlog, then the christmas backlog, then the new year backlog! Although, I haven't even seen Kiff on Messenger lately and he's normally on a fair amount of the time. Maybe he's down with this winter puking/flu virus that everyone seems to be having..

 

I'll put some strength to that. I've got four parcels ranging from the start of December that I'm still waiting for. Not sure if they're "missing" thanks to dodgy postmen or just really late, but yeah, the postal service here is a mess at the moment.

No excuse for the lack of communication, though - even if he's switched ISPs or having similar internet issues it's not hard to find another source of internet access and send a few messages.

 

Yeah, it's the lack of communication that bothers me. In his Profile, it says that his Last Activity here was 14 Hours Ago, yet I didn't receive a reply to the (2) PM's I sent him and he hasn't responded in this thread.

So, I don't even know if my package has been sent or not. He asked for a PayPal "Gift" payment, which most members seem to ask for nowadays and after looking at his Feedback thread, I had no problem with, but now I don't know what to do.

Glad to hear you are ok. Had me worried (for your health, not a package) as EVERYONE (mostly) has said you are one of THE BEST to deal with so Cheers for being ok! Can't wait to hear back from you but certainly sounds like something BIG was up. Hope you're alright.
