Anyone ever bought a LKV391, All-to-HDMI upscaler/converter?

    So I understand that they stretch the image to 16:9?
    I don't like that...
    I bought a ~30$ "Mini vga2hdmi" on ebay recently and it works quite well for my dreamcast, it does preserve 4:3, but it's a tad off-centered, not that I mind too much...

    Ofc this is not videophile grade quality, but quite handy as my TV doesn't have a vga input. It's still way better than s-video.

    "Some" HDTV's can squeeze back into 4:3 but most do not.

    Some converters do retain it. I think some of those Wii2HDMI converters do as well.

    I've always wondered if they are bassically Components->HDMI converters. My guess is yes but could it also be RGB?
