Anyone getting the new ipod nano?

For the first time, since Apple released the ipod, i'm starting to think on getting one.

I don't know, it just looks cool. I'm planning to get the 16GB model.

Anyone else?

 

Fuck Steve Jobs. I bought a video iPod and it's seriously annoying. All it's good for is to be a USB HDD.

Until... I downloaded Rockbox. That seriously gave the iPod potential. Now I can do anything, for the first time watch movies.

 

Well my brother has an 80GB Ipod and he uses Sharepod instead of the shitty iTunes.

Although, Apple does do business in Brazil. MS only started selling Zunes in Canada recently.

 

I have a 2nd gen iPod nano (the gay red one for the Xmas special). My mom got my name on it (uh... why?) so I figure I should keep it. The problem is I can't find a proper arm band as they don't make the unit anymore. The one I have is styrofoam, and stinks to high heaven. I was in the gym thinking, "Who the fuck reaks in here?!" It was me.

 

I own a first gen Zune since last year, I like it more than my old ipod (the only downside is that the zune does not have a clock) and with the new update it will be ever moar awesome. But i may buy a 32 gig ipod touch next week (it's either that or a ds lite)

The new nano is way more expensive over here. £109 for the 8gb and £149 for the 16gb thats $190 and $260!!!

 

Just get a chinese MP4. Mine has 2 GB of memory, can read MP3, WMA, WAV, MPG, AVI, the odd files that use those shits, TXT, JPG and other image formats, has FM radio and was around 50€.

 

Well, my cellphone has a 4GB memory stick. I'll prefer to keep that, instead of getting a small capacity MP3 Player.

Don't get me wrong, those chinese mp3 are all over the place here. Some even clone the ipod design. And the price is cheap, yes.

I don't know, i liked the gui design of the new nano. I'll check the Zune first to have a good comparison.

Goto a thrift store, you'll find all sort interesting bags arm straps etc, really cheap that won't stink.

As for the ipod I have been thinking about getting the ipod touch or the ipod G phone.

 

It doesnt really offer anything major compared to the Nano I have at this very moment.
Maybe in the future, especially as they seem to be releasing new models all the time.

Sometimes I wish that Sandisk kept their iSheep and iChimp campaigns going. Why do people like paying more money for things that are worse in someways, have less features and by default require you to download a program before you can use the player and then it reports back to Apple your listening habits. Bet Apple went I know, lets add a shake feature, so those neanderthals can change song by shaking it in a tantrum.

 

Ipod Nano.......i'll stick with my 1gb shuffle untill i upgrade to a decent mp4 player. The things i hate with mp3/mp4 players is when they get added with extra feautres that are not needed like shake feature or whatever although touch screens are good most other things are not.

 

Next time I find one within 2 thousand miles of me, I will.
