Im having trouble getting PHPBB installed on my computer. Do I need to have web hosting and a website before I can install it? I think thats why Im having trouble with it.

You need not only Apache, but some type of database (like MySQL). Once you have those two things set up, it is a piece of cake. It's so easy, you just execute one script in your browser and viola - it's done.

I have MySQL Server 4.1, and something from Apache (not sure if they are what I need, though.) ):

I have both of those set up, I guess. I need a web host or something, too.

Gaijin, what stuff did you download? I have Windows XP home, BTW.
