I am trying to get an atx psu to power on my n64, because the n64 doesn't use the 5v rail, there is nothing there to simulate a load and as such it wont give more the 500ma to all the other rails. Anyone got any idea on how to defeat this? edit: Minimum load on the 5v rail is 2A. Some how I have to burn that much power.
Just put a resistor between the 5V rail and ground - if you want 2A of load, you need a 2.5R resistor, rated at 10W or more.
