I don't really know if there's options anymore. But I got a grip for psp 3000 here:

You can't see on the pic, but the top is really thick so there is room for the UMD to open. I understand why they did this but I'd rather the grip be smaller on top so it feels more like a dual shock controller instead of a 3rd party knockoff. I don't really care if the UMD can't open as I don't use it. I've gone fully digital. The grip I got came in a clear bag so it is pretty generic and there don't seem to be a brand name.

Anyway, anyone know of a good grip that would feel more like a dual shock?

As a side note this grip really makes me wanna play my psp more. I just wish it was more comfortable.

You could mod it, rough up the plastic and epoxy / bondo it into one piece. Paint it.

At that point, get one of those things that allow you to attach a PSP Go to a Dual Shock 3, and use that. Obviously not what you want as a solution though.

    You could also consoleize it.

Well, the problem isn't with it coming loose. I haven't had that problem yet so I don't need to consolize it or glue it on or anything. I'd just like a more comfortable grip. One that makes it feel like a official Dual Shock. Right now it feels like a 3rd party dual shock cause of how thick it is at top.

I have one of those things, not sure if it's the same. I really like it, I have large hands and makes playing on the PSP more comfortable. I only use at home though, not very practical when traveling.

Well, looking at youtube, it seems there's only one more grip. So there isn't a sea of choices. The other grip looks much worst. I did finally get used to this grip tho. I really enjoy it now.
