Anyone have more information on this unreleased Gamecube game

    Thanks for the share, looks it could've been fun - but almost 2 million dollars on development? That's pretty shocking looking at the video - I can't see where on earth most of that money went.

    To me this looks like something they sent out to publishers to try and get the game finished. Since you have the developers old email address's maybe you could track one down and see if there is any source code or finished versions out there.

    Can anyone explain what 'Signing' and 'Approval' mean?

    ...and why 'Signing' costs upwards of a quarter of a million pounds?

    From the look of it, this was a package they were sending out to publishers, and that was a table of milestone payments. So the "signing" line was the initial payment from the publisher to the development house on the signing of the contract and the "approval" line was the last one after the publisher signed off on the game.

    My guess is that they just couldn't find anyone willing to bite and in the end they ran out of money to keep the lights on.

    It looks like they had some high hopes for 'signing' up voice actors. Obviously they wouldn't be able to get them all to play a pig character in a video game - lol. Still, that's a lot of noses to powder.

    BamBoo you might of gotten the biggest bargain in the world. $4 million game sold to you for a fraction of that, lol. Just curious, do they have more of breakdown of the financials? I'm really curious as where the near $4 million went on this game. That's quite the price tag.

    He only got a video and documents showing off the game. Also, he posted the financial stuff a little above my post.

    My assumption would be that they never made the game - that package is a treatment and a cost breakdown to let potential distributors (I.E. funders) see what they are buying into. As for the VAs, the comment in the breakdown about the vocal localization being provided by the publisher makes me assume they hadn't actually signed any VAs, and the names they used in the treatment were just examples of the sort of voice they had in mind for the character - so they used well known actors that the people reading it could reasonably be expected to know. I think it's safe to assume from the lack of demo code or even video in that package that they hadn't even started actual development.
