I don't own the system, but from the looks of it, it can run via jamma. Basically it should/could just pop into the same cabinet as many other arcade games. JVS although not as universal, is pretty straight forwards if you have an i/o board to read the usb connector's signal. Many good systems run jvs...so if you went with a jvs wired cabinet, it would/should just pop in there as well.

Like I mentioned in the collections thread, you live in the UK and naomi universal cabinets are a lot easier to come by there. But, many naomi universal cabinets are 31k only, so you'd either have to stick with newer things that run in vga or do a chassis swap down the line and tri-res the monitor (runs about $200 for the chassis). Now we are getting into some more hands on stuff.

I know the pyson hardware has a jamma edge, but won't run off it. If I were you, I'd find someone local with a jamma cab and go pop it in and see what happens. From the look of the Dark Horse flyer on system16, it's a simple 8 way stick and 2 buttons for controls.

I'd love to see a manual for this system. I figure anyone who's selling software for the system will sell everything you need to get ther game running...cd/cart/card or whatever. Again, the system doesn't have the best selection of games, but kinda cool to have and if you get a jamma cabinet, 1000's of great games can pop right in. Even jvs systemswill run in there if you purchase an adapter. I'd also guess that one of the dip switches has to do with video and which side you are using, jvs or jamma....but that's just a guess.

IMO, killercabs might be a nice place to ask about this stuff, as it's mostly UK folks that own jamma and jvs setups. Someone might even let you come test it out at their house and/or live close by.

After all of the rambling and attempted explaining of things above, IMO, popping it in a jamma cabinet and seeing what happens would be the first move....especially since it's a game you're not looking to really play a lot of.

Hope this helps in some way of another... or at least made sense ;-)

Edit: Forgot to mention...in the UK, superguns are WAY cheaper ($50-$150 less) as you have scart hookups. I bet you could get a small jamma supergun that could run that on your TV via scart for pretty cheap. Using something like an old style neo-geo AES stick would be easy too.

    Bump!

Now I have repaired my PS2 Tool I am able to concentrate on the 573 again. Sorry to people who posted and I never got back in touch. I am just not familiar with arcade stuff.

Would really like to now try and get this 573 running.

If I sell my spare PS2 Tool (got interest), then I shall have £200 to throw at arcada cabinet or whatever. I'm a student, so really can't afford more at present.

Talked to a buddy who said 573 is plug and play jamma...so most cabinets out there will be fine. If you don't want that game, I am sure someone would buy it and you can toss that in with your other funds. You should be able to find something jamma ready for $400
