since this game is already released in japan, there's certainly some members of this board who have played it, or even own it. So? i heard alot of mitiged opinions about it, what's yours?

and when will it finally it the american market? i just can't wait to play it. From what i've seen, you can officially say that video games are a form of art (well, we all already knew it... but for those non-players baddies who never touched a paddle and can't admit it, take this in your face!)

Um, PN 03 did come out for the gamecube in 2003! I have the PAL release of it.(Unless I'm picking you up wrong and you mean it was simply "not good") The only game out of the "Capcom 5" that was cancelled was "Dead Phoenix" if my memory serves me well.
Killer 7 is coming out for both Cube and PS2,(not sure about Xbox actually) I think it looks really intriguing and original, I've read some previews of it and I still don't really understand it hehe. I want it too!

I haven't played it yet, so I have no opinion. Gamepro gave it piss-poor scores, such as the 1.5 for the fun factor.

i never trusted gamepro anyway, i always though they were bad at reviewing real good games.

anyway, to respond to every questions, it won't come out on the xbox and it is not a point and click game, but more like an action/fps game. i say ''like'' 'cause it's pretty though to stick it to a type.

just to let you see how f***ed up this game is, just take a look a the gameplay. Alright, so you can switch between a strange 3rd person view to advance through the corridors, you press ''A'' to advance/run, ''B'' to turn around and choosing paths with the stick. Hit the ''R'' button to switch to first person view, to attack ennemies and all, in the first person view, hit ''L'' and you'll get into a scanning mode, showing ennemies weaknesses, shot them at the right stop to make them blow with only one hit (though i heard it was difficult to do so) or fight them normally. If you press the start button, you can choose between the 7 personalities of your character (wich you never play with ('cause he's an old freak with 7 personnalities on a wheelchair that was once a killer ( hence the name, killer 7) ) each of these 7 characters have their own abilities and can be upgraded with the help of the blood of your enemies.

That game is freaking strange, and that's what i like about it.

as for the notes the game received, nintendo power gived it a 8.5, and other magazines i don't remember their name gived it 9s. But i also heard about 2s and 1.5s (from gamepro). This game goes to the extremes, it seems to litterally be love it or hate it. and it doesn't seems to attract casual gamers, wich might be a good point. :p

it was suposed to came ages ago, but the release date was always pushed back, and now i don't know where the hell it is suposed to come out, but i know the japaneses already got it, and it got poor sales there. But who have the receipt to make a succes in japan anyway?

i have both gamepro and play magazines. Gamepro gives a crap 1.5 but play reviews it much higher scores. Play seems to be more focused on art and how a game plays while gamepro seems to be bias to certain genres and all games that are not halo. The reviews of gamepro are erratic and sometimes innacurate...they used to be a real game magazine...

well, i still like EGM better.

Anyway, returning on-topic, i would really like to see some members living in japan to talk about the game, even if they didn't really played. Like, how does it sell, or what good magazines are saying about it. It would be better if someone had played the game, but i had no response, so.

i just can't wait to play that game, it is one of the two game i am waiting for right now( the other is Twilight Princess.)

Yeah, I meant it wasn't that great...I'd still buy it though lol.

God all the game magazines suck now...I use to love them all back in the PS1 days, except I've always hated Crappro. EGM was pretty cool but they seemed to not like Sega much, OPM, the old ones, were pretty funny and since ps1 was a rocking system the magazine was pretty good until they started attacking Sega and hyping PS2 which didnt have any of the features it was suppose to when it came out (isn't network adaptor still pretty new....). I remember I got a magazine once called Gamers Republic about a littl ebefore Dreamcast came out, and it was realllly cool and even mentioned Saturn games a lot. I dunno if there any good now though....Play looks interesting, is that mag any good?

well from what i read on ign, the game sold rather poorly in japan, especially on cube whch didnt even make top 10, the ps2 version reached about 10 or 8 i belive on first week.

Gamepro was at best decent years ago

EGM has highs and lows but I dont think they are TOO bad right now

Now the greatest gaming mag I have ever read well U.S. anyway is DieHardGamefan the ONLY magazine to give complete and most importantly unbiased coverage on the DC and not buy completely into the Sony Hype machine back right before the launch of the PS2.

Anyway back to the topic at hand.

Im lookin forward to Killer7 but it could be a let down from some of the early reviews ive read online.

PSM has gone to crap lately too, I remember running home to grab an extra dollar to buy the 1st issue...and it had the cool stuff in it and everything. Stickers for the top of the PS, memory card stickers, original posters. Now, you are lucky if you get something decent to read.

Im looking foward to Killer 7, Ill pick it up when I see it in the stores.

I have the Jap version, but anyways the game is very different than any other game
I played before. The controls are confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it
its a really nice game, its a very weird game to say.But this game is not for everyone.
    I would say from a 1 to 10,I would give it a 7.

the thing i except the most from this game is the atmosphere, i hope it will be as i think : Weird, Tense and creepy. hope i won't be disapointed.
