Just curious to how it feels, it kind of brings back memories of mining/trading/fighting in Trade Wars I use to play via BBS doors. This game may make me open up and use my PS4.
IDK, the game just seems so much of a grind. Everybody is into there own thing, but I could see myself getting board with this fairly quickly.
I've been watching a ton of gameplay and reading a lot of reviews. I'm gona go pick it up this weekend but I am 100% sure I will love it. The biggest complaint I hear is that the survival aspect takes away from the exploratiion(or at least the openness of it). For me though I love that style game and that is exactly what I was expecting out of no mans sky. If you play it let me know what you think!
I'm pretty sad that there isn't a real multiplayer in the game, it would be fun to create a lot of different communities and team up with people. Also, the lack of building possibilities kind of kills this game for me. Edit: It looks like that there is real multiplayer in the game! Still, not having the ability to modify much of the worlds is lame...
The PC version comes out on Friday. I plan on getting it. It's the only new game in a while that seems worth playing to me.
I have the PC version pre-ordered. Patiently waiting for Friday.. I have no interest in any multiplayer aspect, I just want to chill out and explore cool planets. I think I'm gonna like it
It looks like a highly enjoyable game and I really like what I've seen so far. Unfortuatly it's a console exclusive for PS4, so I'm sad to be missing out on this game seeing I got a Xbox One.
I've heard mixed things. The reliance is more on survival than exploring. I wanted to get it but from what I've been reading $60 is too high a price point. I'll likely get it when it goes on sale.
I get the feeling the game was rushed to release. But it sounds like Hello Games has a lot of content planned for the game. Pretty typical these days that games aren't finished when released. I got my preorder for PC. I figured the visuals would be better and quicker updates.
I will be playing it this weekend, already purchased it on Steam. It looks like it lives up to my expectations, or beyond. I didn't think they would be able to make it to be honest.
I dunno, I don't think optimization is that terrible. I only have a Radeon HD 7870 and I'm able to play near full settings at 1080p. There's some stutters here and there, usually when I enter a new planet or something, but nothing too serious. I'm assuming the stutters are what people are talking about. Honestly I'm glad my mediocre gaming machine handles it so well, I was worried my video card wouldn't be up to snuff.
I've been on the fence all day about getting it. It's just for every one person who says they love it there's another who says it isn't worth it. First world problems over here.
It depends on what you want out of it. If you just want to relax and explore cool planets by yourself, learn about different alien tribes, and slowly find upgrades for your stuff, then it's great. If you want a multiplayer bash where you play with a clan of your friends with fast paced action, then this is not the game to get.
I bought it. After procuring the game to test to see if I would like it, I purchased it through Steam. I'm going to dump a bunch of time into it today and tomorrow. I liked the 3 main components of the game: Exploration, Survival and Resource Management.
