i head some cities in the us where already showing star wars 3 in their cinemas, anyone had the chance to see it? Any comments?

I read a review of it on the Guardian website, basically spoiled the whole movie, but it was as formulaic as you can expect, 80% CGI then a "ooh shit, we forgot the story!" cram at the very end.
Well, like the first two, I doubt it's going to be anythinng spectacular, but it's still possibly the last chance I'll have to catch a Star Wars film on opening day... :-D Though for the most part the preview impressions I've heard have been mostly positive - the old cliche "three's a charm" and all that. And Cahaz, I'm not sure if the rumors are true or not, but if there are theaters showing early, they stand to lose a lot of money in lawsuits - the opening day is the 19th, and not before.
Someone already told me a lot, since he read the book. I know how Anakin... SPOILER Dies... He falls in Lava, and is melted all the way to his head, then Palpatine takes the head out of the lava and makes a mech body for his head with life support.
yeah, i know, i just got the whole story from my news channel: 10 cities in america where choosen for one special representation of star wars: the revenge of the sith. Some lucky people had the chance to see it before everyone else, in compagny of george and all the principal actors (they where sent individually to each ten theatres.) . Some of those cities where (if i can remember right) San Francisco, Detroit and Los angeless (could be all wrong here though, since i'm really tired (i made a reprensentation of a piece of theatre 30 minutes ago, 3 hours long, and i was the main actor:smt022(i know you just really don't care, but i wanted to share my joy with all of you (and yeah, i'm going way too off-topic!) ) so anyway, going to bed, keep up the comments! (where's that toilet monster now?!)
Well, I bought the Dark Horse graphic novel, so I've got the outline of the story already. But we already know what happens from the other movies, Yoda gets owned by the Emperor, everybody dies excpet Yoda, Anakin, Palpantine, and Obiwan, etc. So I don't see how you can really post a spoiler.
!!!!SEMI-SPOILER!!!! Mr. Casual: The part about Anakin falling into the lava was actually in the original novelization of Return Of The Jedi. However, I should hope that it isn't merely Anakin's head that survives the lava battle, as this would contradict much of the mythos around the Anakin/Vader transformation set down by many of the licensed novels and comics. In Return Of The Jedi for example, during the final battle between Luke and Vader, Luke cuts off Vader's right hand to reveal that it was robotic underneath. In the Shadows Of The Empire novel (if I remember correctly, this was 8 years ago), it makes mention of Vader losing his original human hand to the Emperor's displeasure at the destruction of the first Death Star. Either way, fucking with the established chronology is something Lucas excels at. Having C-3PO and R2-D2 as knowing both of Luke's parents was a bit of a stretch, and I'm wondering what sort of deus ex machina will be employed to make them conveniently forget who Luke and Leia are. And yes, I was a horrible Star Wars nerd back in junior high/early high school.
That same person just beat Episode 3 for whatever system that came out for as Anakin ( You have a choice of beating it as Obi-wan or Anakin. (Special ending) Spoiler He kills Palpatine and claims he now rules the universe or something.
The force was able to flash the eeproms of their memories, or maybe george will release other modified versions of the old ones, just like he already did once. :smt030
Anakin loses his right arm in Attack of the Clones. He then loses his robotic one again in the Clone Wars Cartoon. By Revenge of the Sith that means he is on his second robotic Right arm. Droids in the Star Wars universe normally have their memory wiped when purchased so as to free them of any misconceptions of past ownership. C3PO and R2D2 are passed on to Captain Antillies (Not Wedge Antillies) from Obi-Wan and have their memory wiped as is already a standard in the Universe.
Ani loses his human hand, as well as both of his legs, when he fights obiwan. They get cut off before he slides into the lava pit. R2D2 knows about stuff in A New Hope, thats why he keeps saying master and such. C3PO has his memory wiped at the end of RotS, thats why he is so confused in a New Hope and onwards.
That is true; however, in the Lucasfilm-approved novel for Shadows Of The Empire, written back in 1996 or 1997, it specifically mentions Palpatine taking Vader's very human hand for the failure at the Death Star. (Don't ask me how I remember that specific detail.) My point was, despite the amazing job that Lucasfilm licensing has done over the years in order to keep the canon from contradicting itself, Lucas has really stretched things out of order. And yes, the droids can have their memory wiped, but as I said, it just seems a little too convenient of a plot device - again, an example of deus ex machina, if you will. But I'm not sure if R2 is aware of any of the previous events at the start of Star Wars - sure, he's obsessed with finding 'General Kenobi', but that's because of the information Leia uploaded to him on the Tantive IV. And yes, I'm aware of the difference between Captain Antilles and Wedge Antilles.
^Points up^ I wasnt arguing against your SotE reference, just pointing out that the reference has already been over-written by Mr.Lucas.
Everything in my above post is from the book, so i can be quite certain it happens in the movie Ill take a picture of the book page if you want lol. And, according to the book, only C3PO has his memory whiped.
