well these days the best cartoons here are mostly ones that are prime time comedy baced, or edgy ones like south park, and i agree with you, animation here has gone down hill, sadly half of it has to due with the fact that animators no longer animate the same way since regular animation has been phased out for digital, as well as the fact that cartoons arent done like cartoons were done in the 60s and 70s, possibly 80s were storyboards were used to tell teh story and not scripts. Though im a bit anoyed that all animation is done digital now, cause it just doesnt look as good as regular.

 

Nintendo already tried that like 15 years ago with the original Game Genie. Doesn't work.

this is getting way OT, but I think south park switched to digital animation a few years back(maybe longer, I haven't watched them every season) , and I remember it looking really different because they started using lighting and shadow effects in ways that seemed to show it off. It looked better and smoother, but on the other hand, it's just not the same.

I guess I don't really have a point here, just stating an observation.

 

south park has alwasy been digital, just the pilot episode was cut outs due to budget and them not having any equipment to work with, well im saying in general, but yeah family guy is probably the best out right now( the movie is a classic) as for simpsons, after season 8 it just went downhil more and more, and i cant even sit through any of the current ones, thats how bad its gotten, but long live family guy, well as i said in another post final end of off topicness.
