hahaha, gundam station as a real JR station. What a fuck up. I bet Google are having a right laugh at all of this.
The falling out between Apple and Google was when exactly? I could understand if they just didn't have enough dev time, but putting out a half-assed product isn't really the best move either way. Apologizing, prioritizing its development, and uploading it free would have been the wiser move.
Maybe it's different outside of my area, but Nokia Maps have been working great for me, even on obscure streets on the county. I can't understand how did Apple fuck up so bad...
I think this picture speaks for itself about the iOS 6 maps.. Taken by yours truly on my 4S. Apparently cars are humping trees now, and trees are boxes. Hong Kong isn't actually in Hong Kong.. Shhh, that's supposed to be a secret!
Google didn't want to implement spoken turn-by-turn directions for the iOS platform, but they provided it for the Android platform. Google said they'd allow this feature if they could have some more control over the iOS platform (Google Latitude integration, among others), but Apple didn't want to budge on that aspect. The result is what you're currently seeing.
Ahh, that photo was pure TFL win! Good to see someone with a sense of humour, there! You can't really sue a phone manufacturer for allegedly copying your phone, and stay in favour with the company who wrote the underlying OS that phone is running. It's a brave move to take on a Worldwide mapping system from scratch when several other companies already have established systems. It's foolish to take on one who has sent cars down a good proportion of the World's roads, taking photographs.
They loosened up on iAds and in the latest eBook fiasco, but in general, not really. Maybe that's why they're the most valuable company in the world.
Is that what Apple was called there? Amy was the receptionist, and in the first Master System game she helped restore your health at the very beginning.
Don't know what the connection between Apple ad Zillion is. It's been so long since I saw or played Zillion.
I think google is working on a seperate Maps app for iOS, much like they did with the YouTube app and it's far better than the one that Apple kicked out. But will Apple allow it in the App Store?
http://www.apple.com/letter-from-tim-cook-on-maps/ You know it's bad when even Apple's CEO says to just use the competitors' maps.
First they steal data from open source maps, and now they cant make a fucking decent navigation app Whats happening at apple? they arent exactly catching up to android in fact hw-wise its behind the latest android phones, yet they manage to fuck things up The 4S had battery problems and siri didnt work as advertised The 5 comes scratched from factory, maps are god awful and iOS6 feels like Jelly Bean's "special" cousin Seriously, how do you fuckup the most valuable brand in the world, one that has like 60 billion IN CASH?
