Rodland was actually on Game Boy too, that version was released in Europe and Japan only.

HotZone, my local arcade, got 2 Twin cabinets of SegaRaceTV... Because of this, they got rid of 2 After Burner Climax DX!! :banghead:  Only one now!

This "wanna be tuning" Midnight something will probably show up soon, since stuff like Wangan Midnight and Initial D are "pop" now. They have 6 or 8 twin cabinets of Wangan Midnight and 4 or 5 Initial D (4th Stage i think).

At least they got a full OutRun2 SDX for us old-school gamers

Lucky & Wild was always one of my favorite arcade games. It doesn't work well with Mame due to the controls being a unique combination of steering wheel/pedals and duel light guns. Think that would make for a great console release with the proper peripherals.

The absolutely incredible Aliens vs. Predator on Capcom CPS2. After the PSone release of Captain Commando I thought this might actually see a console release, but no.

Armed Police Batrider. One of the finest vert shooters ever created and it's a total shame there was never a Dreamcast or PS2 port.

Scud Race. Why no DC port? Why stop at a tech demo?

That's all I can think of for the moment.

I raise you Quake Arcade, a completed game that never saw the light of day. I think at some point a copy of the software leaked, it had some features and maps that retail Quake didn't have.

Title said never released on consoles, not PC :D

At first instance I can think on:

Crime Fighters (Konami), The Maze of The Kings (Sega), Virtua Striker (Sega), Virtua NBA (Sega), Pipi & Bibi's (Toaplan), Soccer Superstars (Konami), Capcom Sports Club (Capcom), Mutant Fighter (Data East), Warzard (aka Red Earth) (Capcom), Seibu Cup Soccer (Seibu Kaihatsu).

For me it would have to be Scud Racer. Why on earth that never got a Dreamcast port even though they used parts of it as Dreamcast tech demos is a mystery. Other arcade games I'd like to see ported are Wangan Dead Heat Midnight Run 2 to 3DX (Namco), XEXE (Konami), Legend of Death Adder (Sega), Emergency Ambulance (Sega) and an arcade perfect port of Daytona USA. No fancy new shit, no revamped graphics, no shitty remixed tunes. Just original arcade perfection. Is that too much to ask :crying:

Although it's not even out in arcades yet, the new Shining Force Cross looks pretty good and there's been no indication of a console release yet.

I wonder why no one has mentioned Star Wars Trilogy Arcade. One of the best Star Wars games ever.

A friend went to the loke test. It was apparently a shiney turd. He told them, and they gave him a poster.

    Some of my favorites
NAMCO: Air Combat (1993) and Air Combat 22 (1995).

These games were completely different from PlayStation Air Combat/Ace Combat released in 1995 and Ace Combat 2 released in 1997, although the arcade games were the starting point for the PlayStation Ace Combat series.

This. Of all the Final Fight retreads that Capcom released in the 1990s, Alien vs. Predator is my favorite. It seems as though Capcom had the movie license strictly for arcade games back in 1994, and they've been skittish about bringing up AvP since then. They've even balked at putting Linn Kurosawa, the game's Capcom-created human heroine, into anything but a background from Street Fighter Alpha 2.

Was a 32X port of Capcom's Alien vs. Predator in the works? Or was that just going to be a version of the Jaguar game?

Also, ESPrade and ESPgaluda II. Rade is probably a lost cause, but Galuda is a little more recent.

And then there's BloodStorm. Not a good game by any measure, but I was fascinated by it when I was a kid. Here's an EGM preview of the canceled Saturn and PlayStation ports.

No Star Wars Trilogy was released in 1997 or 1998 and featured lots of different gameplay elements. Quite a good game.
