As a fan of SR2 at the arcades I jumped when I saw the cabinet in an arcade vendor's leaflet. It pisses me off that we have next to no arcades anymore in this country! So anyway, is SR3 the same game as the SR released on 360/PS3? (That was crap compared to the old SR2 and SR1!)
I've never even seen SR3 anywhere. However, checking System 16 the images of the tracks look very similar to the terrible PS3 / 360 release. http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=907&gid=18720#18720 I know it's illegal to run an arcade and make money from it where you are BC, but maybe you should import one and have it on Free Play and get locals to pay a little extra for the beer lol. This is really what you want: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEGA-RALLY-CH...14&_trkparms=72:1297|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318
It's only avaiable on europe. It's basicly the same game as the one for consoles, just like Ford Racing: http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=682&gid=18527#18527
nah its not, its a specialized version with special tracks, new cars, reworked controls and net-play over sega's arcade online service. this was discussed already in other forums. and while ps3/xbox 360 just supported 30 fps, this one can do 60 fps in 1080p i believe
It's 60fps on 720p. It uses new Sega hardware (EuropaR), apparently. Specs: Dual core Intel processor @ 3.2Ghz 4-8 gigabytes of RAM 8800 series based NVidia chipset
tried it in spain, see mrs below: Very much like 360 vers imo, couldn't tell the difference. Was v.smooth though
I quite liked Sega Rally (Revo) although not as much as sega rally 2 or the original but this just seem like a slightly upgraded version for the arcades of the 360, PC with nothing that new to it. Would love to see what games sega bring out for this new EuropaR hardware as it seems interesting.
The back of the cab was pretty cool - looked like the arse of an RS Escort I did like the imitatation dials on the dash though! hahahaha
what the fuck! I just noticed that the gear box is nothing like SR2, it's a serial gearbox?! this is outrageous
I think SR3 is a good rally game though it doesn't come close to SR1 - but that's what I think of SR2 as well, so... The cabinet though is not too bad if you ask me although the dashboard looks a bit basic.
Yeah no block-downchanges, 4th to 2nd there. I'd be happy if they brought SR3 out on current gen though, it was more fun that revo, if only slightly.
Ah, yes, it does look a better from that shot. The shot of just the dash really didn't look that impressive.
I played the game a few times last year (@ an arcade in Scheveningen, the Netherlands) And I must say I really enjoyed it. The tracks are almost similar to the 360/ps3 versions. But I must add the force feedback is pretty lousy!
